Alvento Winery is a charming location with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, featuring a beautiful bed and breakfast and an awesome Airbnb right on the property. Visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of unique and amazing wines, such as the late harvest Vidal sparkling, Icewine, and Merlot. The welcoming atmosphere, great service, and quaint setting make it a recommended stop for any wine tasting trip or a mini local vacation. The owner is always there to recommend and answer any wine questions, and the grounds look great. Alvento has some of the best small batch wines, including a refreshing and easy-drinking Sauvignon Blanc. The staff are warm and genuinely helpful, even during busy times, and they handle difficult guests professionally while keeping the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. The Discovery Pass tasting, featuring a spicy Spanish pizza paired with an off-dry Riesling, was a highlight, and the small crew shared personal stories about the wines and vineyard, giving the whole experience a heartfelt touch. Highly recommended for those looking for great wines or a few nights away from the city.
