The price was ridiculous. Only to find out that they charged us $2.75 for every refill top off on our coffees so they topped off our coffee three times each and the bill was ridiculous never to return again who does that are +275 for a small cup to be topped off with an additional 275 each time no wonder why it is up for sale this morning when my friends heard about this, they don’t go there with motorcycles anymore .

Time to replace the dirty wrinkled paper menus. Coffee was good. Need a small breakfast or something for a senior with the appropriate lower price.

My husband and I enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the 2x 4 diner today. You can’t beat the home town feeling as soon as you walk in. The eggs Benny was superb and made exactly as I asked. You can taste the quality and care in every bite.

This was my first visit to the 2x4 Diner and my partner's second.He had eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and toast.I had a cheese and mushroom omelette with home fries and toast.We both had an orange juice.The food was phenomenal.Absolutely delicious.Our server was friendly and attentive.She explained that they use fresh local eggs, etc.Just wish that we had gotten her name so that we could personally thank her here.We'll be back and definitely recommend them if you are looking for a terrific breakfast out.

Went with my sister in law this week. It was awful. Coffee tasted burnt like it was sitting on the burner for quite a while. We ordered omelettes which did not come with bacon we had too pay an additional fee which was $10.00 it should of been included. Our toast was not buttered. Not too mention my omelette was raw. Overall a very disappointing experience considering the past experiences we had at once a beautiful diner. I can sadly say I will not be returning.

The service was great when we visited although there was just one other table seated. Nice atmosphere and good sourdough; unfortunately those are the only good comments from our visit. Both the regular bacon and peameal were quite over cooked, the hash browns were mostly raw, one egg order was incorrect and the scrambled eggs were liquid in the centre. Quite disappointing.

Went to Bruce's and was seated quickly. We sat for almost 15 mins without anyone coming to serve us. No menu, no water ,no coffee, nothing. The place was not overly busy at the time so I really didn't understand why this happened. We were by passed by all staff that were tending to other customers with nothing. At this point we had had enough and said screw it, so we left. With so many other great breakfast restaurants around we went somewhere else and had a great meal. Will not try again at Bruce's.
We were greeted at the door, friendly asked how many, and directed us to a seat. Waitresses passed by us several times, made eye contact several times,served people around us, served people that came in after us. We waited 15 minutes and left. On the way out the same man said have a great day. Wow very dissatisfied and disappointed.

This was a place everyone in Wainfleet frequented weekly. Their hours have been reduced along with their menu. 3 to 4 lunch items offered, smash burger, Italian sandwich and grilled cheese .... how disappointing.I ordered peameal bacon and eggs with shredded hash browns. The peameal bacon looked like ham circles from a McDonald's egg mcmuffin and the shredded hash browns had too much seasoning salt. I enjoyed the eggs. Otherwise very disappointing.I use to come here to buy Fenwick pies. Loved those pies. They no longer sell pies of any kind. Skip this place and go to Flattop grill 5 min away.

Just got back from Bruce’s 2 x 4 Diner @ 72004 Regional Road 27 in Fenwick. I’d been there prior to new ownership which I understand happened a year ago, and it was always good but I have to say the new menu options and the sprucing up of the place to a fresh, bright new interior is a big improvement. Coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time, the food is reasonably priced and generous, and the quality of food is spectacular. We had the 2x 6 breakfast for $15. They even list their suppliers (all local) on the menu to emphasize how fresh everything is. And the wait staff were attentive and very friendly. Just a really nice, refreshing atmosphere. It will be a regular weekend treat from now on. (Only one tiny complaint…no French Toast, but the pancake and hash browns made up for that?)

An absolute top notch breakfast, at a really great price. The new owner gets his maple syrup from a nearby farm, and pays a bit more than he needs to because it tastes better, and supports local. My brother and I ordered each ordered some but our server suggested that we just share one serving to save us money. That's service! Lots of coffee top ups, and almost too much food. Whenever I'm back in the area I always bring friends here, and everybody loves it.
