We visited during their transition to the quieter off-season so the restaurant was very quiet and not busy. This is the type of place that as soon as you walk in you feel comfortable. Tasty food, that's fresh and hot with, fast and friendly service. We had the coconut shrimp and crab cakes for appetizers and fried fish with shrimp for our mains. My wife went with the standard fried fish and I had the perch. Both very tasty. For dessert we had the ice cream filled crepes. On a side note, coleslaw is rarely mentioned in any reviews because, let's face it, it's coleslaw and mostly an afterthought. My wife and I agreed that their coleslaw is amazing and probably the best we have had in a long time, maybe even ever. If we are in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Unfortunately this review is overdue and not being a big reviewer here it is. Our family and friends were big DJ goers and always loved it, it was a staple as we are only a few kms away. We have tried to keep the tradition in going even after the changes with new ownership and support our local establishments. We kept coming back even though the marked difference in quality was evident. We made two visits this year hoping for improvements and it has hit the end for us Unfortunately! The fish has been prepared and presented horribly once again. The perch and pickerel were very small flat hard and overcooked and tasted like cardboard in crunchy batter. We usually share pieces throughout the table but we actually left all the fish behind. Very sad to see this happen to one of Long Beaches landmark destinations. June 29/25

Call before you go as they seem to set their own hours according to what they feel like that day. But the food is normally good. Definitely call first even if the website says they are open

I chose this restaurant to host my staff Christmas party. It's a great place. Nautical themes and decor throughout, with excellent staff and a room upstairs that is perfect for a private function. The acoustics are also great for live entertainment. It has good craft beer on tap, and delicious desserts. I will be back.

What a wonderful place for a quality fish dinner. Prices are very reasonable, the ambiance is classic fish house, the drinks were cool, and the servers very pleasant. If you are anywhere near the town of Wainfleet drop in for a satisfying meal. Winter hours are Thursday to Sunday 4 - 9. Thanks for a great evening

This is a very nice restaurant. The food was delicious ,as were the service .
I have to mention Joseph ,as he helped me for our pre anniversary dinner.
He went beyond , picking up flowers which I had ordered, for the table for when we arrived .I could have got them delivered ,but he offered to pick them up on his way in to work. Thankyou Joseph . The restaurant , should be proud to have a person like you working for them. Thankyou to the staff as well ,our table was in a quiet romantic area of the restaurant ,which made it nice and quiet away from the hustle and Bussell or this busy place. All in all we are thankful. and had a great dinner and will
definately come again, when we come up to Wainfleet to a friends cottage.
