Mel’s is a great place to grab breakfast! The ladies working there are all great, hardworking chicks. The family, friendly atmosphere is very inviting. The prices are a lot lower than most places. I just fed a family of 5 for $85 and that was including a 20% tip!

Before our walk on the Saugeen Trail my wife and I stopped in here for brunch . She ordered the peameal breakfast burger with egg and I had the western sandwich with cheese and homefries . Her sandwich was hot and tasty , mine as well , however my homefries were not cooked as crispy as I like and a little greasy . The service was was quick and the server friendly . We also took home four butter tarts and a carrot muffin. This is a nice little diner with very reasonable prices , I would eat here again .
Parking: Limited parking at side and back , restaurant shares parking lot with gas station.

They had just closed when we stopped for gas. Offered to serve us in spite of the grill being off and cleaned for the day. Great chill and baked treats to go. Thank you ?

Not sure what I was expecting but it didn’t live up to it. Little greasy and Bacon had a strange taste to it. Not sure if I would return
