Mel’s is a great place to grab breakfast! The ladies working there are all great, hardworking chicks. The family, friendly atmosphere is very inviting. The prices are a lot lower than most places. I just fed a family of 5 for $85 and that was including a 20% tip!

Before our walk on the Saugeen Trail my wife and I stopped in here for brunch . She ordered the peameal breakfast burger with egg and I had the western sandwich with cheese and homefries . Her sandwich was hot and tasty , mine as well , however my homefries were not cooked as crispy as I like and a little greasy . The service was was quick and the server friendly . We also took home four butter tarts and a carrot muffin. This is a nice little diner with very reasonable prices...

Food is excellent. We had the classic breakfast. Eggs were done as expected. Bacon was tasty and home fries were soft and lightly spiced. Coffee was fresh and hot. Service was prompt and food came to the table in reasonable time. We highly recommend this place for breakfast.
