I used to love Old Joe’s Cabin. Our family went with some friends on Saturday night and I was shocked to see only one other table occupied at 6pm on a Saturday night. I then recalled seeing it changed ownership. 4/6 of our group ordered chicken parm. The chicken was very dry , no marinara sauce , and very little Alfredo. The garlic bread was not toasted. I ordered a cabin club. It was fine but also not toasted as it used to be. My daughter’s Dino nuggets and fries were also just fine. Overall disappointed and won’t likely be back.
Ordered the pad Thai, which was gross with rice noodles. The food looked like something thrown together into a pot of leftovers. Won’t be going back there.
Great food + Great Service = Great experience. Bonus that this family-friendly restaurant is clean! Will definitely be returning again.

Over the years we have been here many times and always had a great experience. That all changed this holiday season. We made a reservation for our large group almost two months in advance. When we arrived the tables were not set up for our group at all and we ended up putting the tables together ourselves. That would come to be the very least of our concerns. Next up we were told the beer taps were not working so no beer on draft, which happens, fine, except when we tried to order cans and were told the fridge was also broken, so we were limited to bottles of a limited selection.
The menu was more or less the same which we were pleased about, the food, however, was not at all the same. Our pickle spears were way over cooked, I ordered the butter chicken, which was the worst butter chicken I have ever had. Others at our table universally agreed the food was not good. Perhaps the worst part of it all was that the food came out in the most staggered fashion, meals for our group came out over a period of an hour from the first meal to the last. The first people were long finished while the later were still waiting to eat. I understand we are larger group but we have been here as a group before and never had this problem. Our apps also came out at random, after our mains.
I will say the server did try her best but nothing could overcome the poor food quality, and the overwhelmingly slow delivery of the food coming out of the kitchen, and the lack of beer either on draft or in cans.
The one good thing was the atmosphere and cleanliness were still very good, but sadly we will not be coming back.

I want to begin by saying that our server was great and deserves to be hired by a much better establishment. We tipped her rather well because none of what I am about to write was within her control.
The owner should seek assistance or bow out immediately. No beer on tap and limited bottles which were served warm. My cider was also served warm.
Our appetizers came out long after our mains. My daughters food came long after we were all done eating.
Our food was over cooked, watered down, and def not homemade.
I’m glad no one got food poisoning (yes it’s that bad) and I will not return which is sad. The original owners were thoughtful and this was a favourite spot.
Very disappointed and hoping our lovely waitress finds a better spot to land.

We have been ordering takeout from this establishment for several years and decided to give it a try after the change in ownership. Unfortunately, the food was subpar and our order was wrong. The two burgers we received were poorly cooked, with one being burnt and the other rare on the inside. Additionally, the extra toppings we ordered were missing, and the fries were no longer freshly cut. It appears that the quality has significantly decreased, which is disappointing given that it was previously one of the best burgers in the area. We contacted the establishment to express our dissatisfaction, but our concerns were met with excuses. Although we did receive a partial refund, we will not be returning in the future.

I understand Old Joes is under new ownership, but the drinks took half hour. And along time after that the food came but was not hot and items included in meals were forgotten. Our appetizer was completely missed and not even an apology from the waitress, yet it was on the bill. An alarm went off 3 times between 6 and 715 which was fantastic for the ambiance.
It was a pretty piss poor experience to say the least.
I hope the new owners can get their feet on the ground and keep Old Joes Cabin a decent restaurant.

Ambiance was nice. Waitress had to take our order twice because the cook lost our order. Food was mediocre.

I have always loved the potato cheese bites with the garlic aioli dip since I first tried them. It had been a while so I grabbed an order to take home today. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy them this time. There was almost no cheese in them. And the dip was a dill dip (I don’t like dill dip) not the garlic aioli.

I’m changing my original review. After our visit today our views have changed a bit.
The bruschetta bread was disgusting. It’s was drenched in balsamic vinegar and not toasted. Soggy vinegar bread. My daughter’s spinach dip chips were stale and some were soggy. Not sure how the chips would even get wet?
My husband and I had the fish and chips which were fantastic! The coleslaw was not the best and I normally love coleslaw.
The waitress was friendly. Our wait was longer. I think we were at first forgotten…
We might return but not in a haste.

Tonight's experience was one of the worst I've ever had in a restaurant.
The servers we had were very obviously new but were doing their best to serve a relatively busy dining room.
The owners need to set their staff up for success. It should not take 2 hours for wings on wing night. I feel awful for the servers and the one cook they had.
Granted it was on us to see that they were struggling and we could have left. Every visit we have had until tonight has been good.
I hope the owners see this, take accountability, and ensure that a service like tonight does not happen again.

Amazing!! Don't take my word for it, go try for yourself. I know I'll definitely be back for doubles or even triples!! Had the fish and chips addictive to say the least.
