Nelson and staff really.made us feel like we were home. The flavors of every dish we ordered were out of this world. Highly recommend dining here, you won't be disappointed.

Visting Wasaga and originally booked Catch 22 to enjoy Paella and Lobster Ravioli. We decided we wanted to get takeout and enjoy our dinner at the cottage while taking in the beautiful lake view. Catch 22 did not offer take out. We then searched for another seafood restuarant. We found Barcelos and called to inquire and the hostess was so welcoming on the phone and offered to pre-order our take out meal. We picked up our meal and it was ready on time, packaged perfectly and hot. The Paella was so amazing filled with saffron rice, mussels, chicken, sausage and jumbo shrimp - hubby was VERY impressed! The Lobster Ravioli was the BEST I have ever had, lots of lobster filling and the sauce was so delicious! The ceasar salad was plentiful, delicious and enough for two people. This restaurant's food is 10/10 and if you visit Wasaga, you should certainly try this amazing restaurant!!! I will most certainly be returning to enjoy more delicious food!! Cheers!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Barcelos!

This was my second time here (first time was late July).

From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere set the tone for a memorable evening. We came in last night to celebrate my dad’s birthday and were greeted personally by the owner, who made us feel right at home. Throughout the evening, the staff (and owner) were present, went above and beyond to check in, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of without ever feeling rushed.

The food was nothing short of outstanding. We ordered a generous variety of seafood, Paella and every single dish impressed us with its freshness, flavor, and portion size. Finding truly great seafood in Simcoe County can be a challenge, but Barcelos completely wowed us—it’s clear they take real pride in quality.

And finally, the service deserves its own spotlight: attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind from start to finish. It elevated our evening into something truly special.

Barcelos has set the bar incredibly high, and we can’t wait to come back!

Came here on a Sunday evening out of the blue with no plans set. The menu looked really well put together with many traditional Portuguese dishes.

I ordered the muscles and the chorizo sausage and the bacalhau con natas.

I have to say the food was top notch everything was perfection at its finest. Very flavorful dishes.

The service and atmosphere was something very special that wanted to make you go back. I think this place is Definitely a hidden gem. The owner Nelson also made you feel very welcoming and made you feel very comfortable and special Definitely one of my favorite spots im wasaga beach.

Try it out guys you won't be disappointed!!!

I celebrated my birthday at Barcelo's with the family and we had an absolute blast! The food was incredible and the atmosphere cozy with vibes from Portugal or Spain. Nelson and his team are beyond friendly and accommodating, especially with three boys aged 4, 6 and 10.

We had an assortment of food from a sea food platter, to lobster ravioli pasta, chicken nuggets (for kiddos and adults), bruschetta, salads, etc.. all beyond delicious and super flavorful 👌

I can't wait to go back!!

Amazing staff, service was fantastic and food was also prepared perfectly. We were visiting around this area and it was hard to find a restaurant with good reviews, either people forget to leave it or there are not many good places. I called late and asked if they would sit 7 guests, and they didn’t hesitated. We were the last people and they didn’t rush us. It was a fabulous experience, thank you Barcelo Wasaga

Worst restaurant in wasaga beach, grossly over priced food and the owner verbally abuses his staff while you try and eat a meal. Highly recommend avoiding this dive.

I ordered steak for my mom and I, chicken Alfredo for my son. My mother said and I quote “put it this way, my top dentures were loose, I had zero issues eating that steak. So tender.” I uber eats this meal, we never had the pleasure to eat in the restaurant yet. Pasta was also spectacular.

Greeted at the door by a nice gentleman. Given option to be seated at the bar. Music and decor gave a great vibe of chill late night comfort. Staff knowledge of menu was excellent. Shared the lobster ravioli, oyster and garlic bread with my partner. Loved the option given of order food came out. Drinks were properly mixed including the long island. Highly recommend the one of kind exclusive ice cream to finish off.

Did not have a reservation and we were accommodated on the patio. The live music was fantastic along with the atmosphere and attention by all the staff including the owner. The food was delicious. Thank you all for making our 39th wedding anniversary a day to remember. We will be back 😃
