After a day kayaking and at the beach we came across this really cool snack shop; Grandma's Beach Treats. It was the ice cream sign that attracted us with the promise of a refreshing treat and it didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
I like that the person who actually made the snacks stopped to talk to us. The open space concept allowed us to see how the products were made and also how clean and orderly it was.
If you want great tasting ice cream made from quality ingredients without dealing concerns over hygiene, then this is a great stop when you're in the Wasaga Beach area.
Ask for a sample if not you're not sure what you want. They're very friendly and accommodating.

Great service and seems like a friendly ownership group who is a credit to the community.
The ice cream comes from buckets, however, same as any other ice cream parlor. The other ice cream place just a few seconds down the road, however, has a machine which literally mixes the ice cream and its ingredients when you order. For this reason, the other place will remain our go-to for cold treats. The butter tarts are good, as butter tarts usually are!

I'm so lucky to have stumbled upon Grandma's Beach Treats at the Butter Tarts Festival at the Old Mill today. I bought the 6-pack sampler ($18) and devoured the Maple Bacon and Raisin at home. WOW in one word. This is the OG. The real deal. Absolutely phenomenal, buttery crust and the gooey filling is delicious as heck.

My husband and I love black forest cake. Over the years we found the cakes to be lacking love and good quality ingredients. For my birthday yesterday, my husband brought home a black forest cake from Grandma's bakery. LOVE in a box!!! The cherries are cooked not from a can. The whipped cream is perfect not super sweet and soft. The chocolate cake ooohhh my! Rich and smooth and .... chocolatey.
I appreciate them asking him about the extra ingredients (I don't care for).
Even with some slices gone the cake felt heavy as I put it in the fridge. Eating it was so light and super delicious.
I don't know how he came across this bakery. In my opinion it's wonderful.

One of the best ice creams experiences and here is the reason: 1. Great flavors 2. Perfect sweetness (not death by sweet) 3. Great staff 4. Cozy atmosphere
Service is great but they no longer carry much Kawartha and London ice cream. The quality of ice cream now is not great. Need to find another ice cream place near Wasaga.
