Very well organised and accessible place. They offer large meals and for fair rates. I liked the meals very much and the staff members were super affable and chatty. I recommend this place.

This site is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. when I feel like having a special meal, this is the place that comes straight to my head. superb and all kinds of food and a rich cuisine.professional staff, and good spirit. Also, the charge is honest. I recommend this spot with great pleasure.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I had heard great things about this restaurant however nothing could prepare me for how fantastic their sushi is. We ordered 4 meals consisting of a number of rolls and a lot of salmon sushi. This might be the best sushi I have ever enjoyed. Kudos to Sushi Ya!! Why did I wait so long? Had it Friday and will get some more for Sunday dinner. AWESOME!!!

I have eaten a lot of sushi in a lot of places ... including Japan and Vancouver (where they do it much better than in Toronto!). The Ontario fascination with “all you can eat sushi” saddens me because the sushi is never great. To serve it for that price, they have to skimp on the dish and it ends up being expensive anyway. SO... I am thrilled that in little Waterdown we have great sushi at a great price !!!! The “fish to rice” ratio is good! The specialty Maki rolls are interesting. Three of us ate for 50$ last night. That would have cost about 90$ or more if we went to “all you can eat” . Not that we could have right now since it is curbside pickup only. Sushi Ya is doing a very nice job of that too. I have eaten in the restaurant too... atmosphere and service were good. I definitely recommend Sushi- Ya!

Popped in today for a quick sushi & sashimi takeout. When I got home I couldn't believe the size of the portions! Huge!!! At least 3 times the size of what you normally get per piece. And super fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back.

Ordered sashimi platter and some sushi for a family takeout meal. Food was great! Good service! Nice to have a local sushi restaurant!
The food is good. Wouldn’t say it was any better than any AYCE in the area. The soups were great! The service was okay.

I was just hoping for a half decent sushi spot in Waterdown. Not having one has been a massive gap in our little town, and really there isn't anything all that good within 30km. This former Vancouverite has tried them ALL! In come Sushi Ya - family-owned restaurant with experience... they ran one in Milton for 15 years, and after a one-year hiatus/break/rest, they are back. In Waterdown. The fish is fresh, the rice not too sweet, the selection amazing. Miso soup and tempura are also tasty (it's the middle of winter so we love a good miso). It is NOT all you can eat crap. It could be a fine dining experience in terms of quality of food. We have only ever had take out, so other than the service at the counter and the traditional greeting a proper sushi chef will give you can't speak to the table service. Excited to become a regular here.

I really want to support local dinner sources in Waterdown. Our go-to place for sushi is Doma Sushi up the road on highway 5 at Walkers line. Never disappointed but not the closest so when I saw this place, I had great hopes. Now in fairness, I've only ordered take out and only once. The spider roll portions were small and somewhat over priced. Not what I was used to.... not the same attention to filling detail. The chicken teriyaki was excellent! The chicken was not simply a chicken filet with sauce on it. It was properly cooked in sauced. Delicious! Came with a bed of rice. Again, tasty but a little over priced for the dish delivered. So, I'll be back, but haven't given up my "goto" place for Sushi. They just aren't there yet.
