One week before the busiest week of the year and Waterdown Swiss Chalet is just not ready. The degree of muscle and sinew in my chicken meal made this a horrible experience. When I called and spoke to the manager, instead of providing us with another meal, I was directed to the owner’s email. Wow! Things have certainly changed here…. including the food quality. Beware…I really do not believe the chicken is being cooked enough and I am uncertain as to where the owner is getting his chicken. Choose another Swiss Chalet for you Christmas meal to enjoy and be ensure about the food quality.

My son & I drove through yesterday at 2 pm and it was raining, I ordered 2 Festival, a Punjabi female named GERTIE told me they only had enough chicken for 1 meal ? At 2pm and S.S has no chicken, I ordered and the rain was now in my car, I drove to the window and GERTIE/ GURDY told me She didn't know who PISSED ME OFF but I WAS RUDE ROLLING UP MY WINDOW, I answered You do NOT TALK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT, and I drove away, as long as she is a manager there, I WILL NOT be back !!!

Ordered a chicken and rib combo to eat in, the meal was just thrown in the carton with little attention to care or presentation. Chicken was dry and tough like it was under a heat lamp for a long while, ribs were edible but just warm and coffee was barely warm. One star is the best I could do and that for the server she was very pleasant. Absolutely no ambience in the place at all.

Worst Swiss chalet experience i have ever had. Never had swiss chalet chicken so dry in all these years . Not to mention the mashed potatoes. How can mashed potatoes be dry?? Could of been from previous day. Its pretty sad especially when you haven't had in a while and are craving it and get this mess. It has left a bad taste in my mouth literally and figuratively.

I visited this location in June 2025 with my husband and son. We ordered two quarter chicken breast meals and a poutine. Unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked, and it made us all sick for 48 hours. My husband was even forced to take a day off work because of it. I submitted a ticket about the issue and was told to call in to dispute it, but I feel the very least that should have been done was to offer a refund or, at the bare minimum, an apology for such a terrible experience. Unfortunately, first and last time at this place.

When I entered I couldn't help but notice, the restaurant was recently renovated. The renovations are very appealing not to mention a new digital menu board. Every thing looks great.I had the special posted up on a banner (1/4 Chicken Dinner Bundle with Choice of Pie (Pumpkin) included for $17.99....excellent value. Thank you for a welcome change at this location.

Wasn't impressed with the service, not to mention my pick up order didn't have what I specifically asked for. It's only Swiss chalet downtown but seriously they're that lazy can't check the bloody orders, I mean shit you gotta get a lower paying job can't pay attention

Had to pay for 2 legs combos because the location didn’t have a half chicken available. Wouldn’t charge for the half chicken. The customer service was horrible as well. Multiple complaints from other customers.

Ordered a quarter chicken dinner at this location's drive-thru tonight, and waited 27 minutes for the food. When I asked for a refund, the employee referred me to a manager, so I waited another 5 minutes but no manager arrived to deal with my refund request. I then called the store and after several attempts, I spoke to Melissa who proceeded to just argue rudely with me citing that they were "very busy" and that it was in the middle of the dinner rush and that they had just received a large order. All reasonable excuses, however none of then the customer's problem. They are always slow at this location, and "managers" are not empowered to refund even when they should. Suggest the owner invest in some customer service training for the rude staff and managers there. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS.
