Stopped in on wkd. Cute little place, always passed, never stopped in until Sunday. It's perfect for quiet dinner or gor larger groups, also the bonus is they have take out. Anyways ordered broccoli and cheese soup, came with garlic bread. It was very delicious. Also ordered cheese burger and fries. Burger was great fries were terrific. Prices are absolutely affordable. Waitress was friendly, attentive and quick. So if out and about would recommend stopping in. They are known for their fish and chips, that we did not order. But they are on menu. Lol

With only two servers and a packed restaurant, the service was top notch. There were 12 of us and every single order was correct.The potato and broccoli soup was really good too! We were there during pumpkin fest, and the donuts were amazing and so fresh!!

We were here for friends trivia night. It was fantastic!!! Everyone was so engaged in the game- very well done!! The food was creative and delicious!!A great night!! We have been for other events & looking forward to more in the (near) future!!
It's unfortunate that one can't get decent food anymore and yet pay so much for what you get. So here are a few suggestions for the owner/manager of this establishment: Put your salad (even the small portion) on a decent size plate so that you can at least toss it to mix the dressing in without everything falling off the sides. The balsamic dressing was acutually tasteless as was the mixed greens. Don't put cheese in your potato soup. It makes for messing eating trying to deal with the cheese strings clinging to your spoon. The soup was too creamy, and didn't have enough body to it. The flavour was just passable. The garlic bread was toasted nicely but was not a good quality bread and lacked garlic flavour. Sorry but I'll not eat here again.

This place is absolutely a “must dine here”! Totally amazed by the homemade burger with the perfect bun to accompany it. The waffle fries were an absolute “wow” factor with fresh diced tomatoes and green onions with a drizzle of their special sauce. Service was absolutely fantastic and refreshing. Beer was sooooo delicious too! Will definitely be back and will definitely spread the word that you “gotta eat here”! Thanks Lorraine.

The home made battered mushrooms are the most delicious we have ever had anywhere!! I would make the 1.5 hour drive back for them alone! This was our first visit to the Gibbled Goose we came across this little spot while searching for a place for dinner while visiting Whistling Gardens. The atmosphere was casual and our server Graydon was very friendly and helpful. We even met the very lovely cook and the pride she takes in her meals is evident, I absolutely recommend you come for a meal if you haven’t been here before. I had the chicken wraps and my husband had the fish and chips, the portion sizes are very generous and everything was quite tasty. There was even some musical entertainment out on the patio. This place was absolutely amazing! The food, was sooooo good. The staff was super friendly, and was very helpful when we couldn't make up our minds. The menu made it really hard to choice what to get becuase everyrhing sounded absolutely delicious. We ended up having the stuffed mushrooms, which are dipped in the fish batter (we honestly thought they were going to be frozen, so was pleasantly surprised) and the gaffers and they were both so good. We got the fish and chips, which, yes, were a little greasy but honestly if you know English fish and chips, is not surprising, and the crunch to the batter, oh my good it was mouth watering! The sticky toffee pudding was great. We will definitely be going back again, and I will definitely be recommending this place!

The bangers and mash were great. Interestingly the owner's son played for the Leicester Tiger's Rugby club in Leicester. My daughter lived just down the street from the clubs playing field. A rugby ball throw from the club.
