If you are ordering breakfast and offered the homebaked bread, the answer is yes, please. Just don't pass it up or you are making a huge mistake.

“I had the chilli cheese burger. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The food came in a timely manner. Definitely not fast food but 1000% worth the wait. The fry’s were cooked to perfection with what I can only describe and the best seasoning I have ever had on fry’s before. Don’t ruin them with ketchup. Over all I would say 10/10 will be back for sure”

“Passed through Wawa a couple weeks ago and stopped for quick bite here. Sandwiches were excellent and place was clean and bright. Outstanding was the staff, a pleasant young man who prepared our food (I'm ashamed that I've forgotten his name!) and the owner, who worked the cash register. They were both so friendly and genuine--with customers and with each other--that I knew it was a business with respect for customers and colleagues as its principles, making our experience warm and inviting in addition to the excellent food. Do stop here when in Wawa. Businesses like this deserve our patronage. And kudos to those two fellows who served us so well!”

“This was a great find for us! Traveling north, stopped near Wawa for the night, needed a good meal for 7 hungry travelers, really glad we chose Lai's for takeout! All the dishes were tasty, portions were generous, and the veggie dishes had a good variety of different vegetables, not just broccoli or celery like some places give you. We've added this restaurant to our list of favourite places in northern Ontario.”

“We have stayed here before in the hotel. This time we decided to stay in a cabin. Cabin 222. It smelled like stale smoke, and we reported it to the staff for which they told us that a company had stayed there for a year. Doing work in the area and we're smokers. We would not stay in that cabin ever again.”

“Burger was hearty and filling and tasted like meat. Fries were fresh cut and delicious. The ladies in the shack were friendly and hilarious. I would return just for the banter.”

“Stopped in for dinner a little later this last Friday night and this place was good! Our waiter was friendly, food was good and the beer was cold. My mixed drink was a little weirdly concocted but I drank it. 😂
10/10 would recommend the Pickerel and Rueben dinners. The coleslaw was YUMMMM and so was the gravy.
This was better food than the fine dining up the street.”
