Didn’t expect food excellence in Wawa but this is the place. Terrific Caribbean taste - the curry pork was savory with a vegetable medley of perfect accent and stick to your ribs rice that was fulfilling. Right across the road from White Fang Motel which is a neat and clean place to stay. Hurrah for Wawa !
It is an amazing place to dine along the highway.
Mixed menu with stir fry, Caribbean and then some high end items like bison ribeye. Little pricey. Single can and bottle drinks. No free refills on soda.
Awesome meal on the way through! Nice and clean facility. Quick and friendly service! Great experience overall!
Love love love this place and the owners!!! Curry and rouladin were enjoyed thoroughly this visit.
This place is a gem. I had the pickerel and my husband had the white fish and both were delicious. Very large portions of fish well prepared. Liked the dill potatoes served with it. It was rainy so we were inside but they have a lovely outside patio with beautiful views of a river that would be great on a nice night.
Says it’s closing at midnight on google and we came at 20:30, waited 20 mins, couple next to us left because it was too long, they could have atleast seated then there was tables free… the server got to us and there was nothing on the menu avaliable , i wanted pierogies and the guy next to me got some and they said to me they don’t have any, they said they got ran out of stock for a lot of things… and we where forced by the staff to get stir fry, they didn’t even had basic soft drinks… waited for the food 1 hour half of our table got their dishes 10 minutes before the other half… the restaurant has less then 15 tables how can you have so much difficulties to manage your displaying hours, servers and food stock ? Anyways … propably still in service because it is the only option avaliable in town…
Great find right across the road from the White Fang Motel. Also a great find!
Second time dining here, just incredible food! The flavours are absolutely to die for, everything is prepared with care and beautifully presented. The fresh bread and oodles of butter with the vegetable soup for starters is such a lovely touch. Eating with a view of the river is hard to beat! I'd highly recommend the stop, only a 5 minute drive from Wawa!
We debated about where to eat tonight and opted for this place given the reviews. But for the staff, my review would have been lower.
The cook was extremely slow. We waited an hour and 20 mins for our order. The portions were huge. My husband and I each had fish - whitefish and walleye. Both were watery on the inside and oily/mushy on the outside. No flavor. The veggies were soggy and the potatoes were so-so.
We really wanted to like this place and we were looking forward to Lake Superior fish. We would not have minded the price had the quality and flavor been better. We would recommend trying other restaurants in the area. This is not worth it.

We were misled on our fish and it was very disappointing. Visiting Wawa and this was the only "fine dining" restaurant in town, so we had high expectations. Unfortunately, it did not live up. In fact, it was terrible. Being on Lake Superior, we expected delicious, fresh fish. I ordered fried pickerel, my wife ordered the fried whitefish, both allegedly local. But the waiter came with my plate and asked who ordered the trout? I said neither, and she said she was mistaken and it was my pickerel. But it wasn't - it was trout. When I complained to the owner, she insisted it was pickerel. Well, I know pickerel. I cook pickerel all the time. Pickerel is my friend. And this was no pickerel.

It was the worst meal I’ve had at a restaurant. I had pan fried pickerel that was overcooked and breaded with no flavour. It was accompanied with dill boiled potatoes again absolutely no flavour and cooked assorted bland tasting vegetables consisting of onions and a few broccoli crowns. As far as presentation goes other than the little bit of broccoli it didn’t present well. My husband had a seafood pasta with a white sauce. The shrimp was overcooked and his meal was bland. Our meal included a soup it was a broth with a few vegetables in it. Our meal was $80. And we only had water.
The server was unpleasant after we finished I went to the washroom she saw me so I was expecting her to come to our table to pick up our plates and ask us if we wanted anything else. She didn’t so I went to her to pay she never apologized for not coming over or asked us how our meal was. I’m glad she didn’t ask as I would have been uncomfortable telling her in person.
BTW there was only one other diner in the restaurant so our server wasn’t busy as she was just sitting at the front.
