Stopped in for dinner a little later this last Friday night and this place was good! Our waiter was friendly, food was good and the beer was cold. My mixed drink was a little weirdly concocted but I drank it. 😂 10/10 would recommend the Pickerel and Rueben dinners. The coleslaw was YUMMMM and so was the gravy. This was better food than the fine dining up the street.

I hate to say it was OK. But I am honest reviewer. The hostess was sort of, I don't know. Uncomfortable vibe. Sat us at a table instead of the last booth. Annoying. The chairs were so Uncomfortable, my legs went numb just sitting on them. I have leg problems and the seat was so hard, and sharp. Awful. Dead animals everywhere, 😢 💔 but hey, it's a hunters place I guess. . Not my vibe. The waitress was sweet, and kind. The turkey club was ok. The turkey was pinkish and too thick for the sandwich. The fries were frozen, the gravy was good. The coleslaw tasted very old. As the fries did. The food came out quite fast. But whatever. Good enough to eat and go to our hotel to sleep.

Pack a lunch instead; this place is a crap shoot. On the Kids and Seniors menu (u12 and 65+), “Chicken fingers” means one. Manager says the plural is a typo. My sub 12 year old g-daughter eats more than one c/f. The cole slaw might fill one bite on a dessert fork. I had them hold the fries, so chicken finger and mini slaw. If you wonder what a $12 chicken finger tastes like, go ahead. The beer was good tho, so 1 star. Serving staff are good, she tried for common sense but no management support. Atmosphere somber.
Stopped in for supper on a week night passing through Wawa and this place was rocking! Town was quiet but I guess everyone knows where to go for some good food. We were seated and served quickly. The food came out fast and it was fresh with very generous portions. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. Great little stop for this little town!

Made our anniversary very special. We are from London Ontario making our way home from Vancouver. All items on the menu were very appealing it was hard to make a choice. Our server was very patient. Highly recommend.!!
