Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill

Have visited this location several times and have generally been pleased with the food and prices (with the exception of the 3% surcharge which I have never really fully understood.) However we attended on Jan.4 2025 at approx. 6:00 pm and experienced the worst service ever! We were seated promptly, but once seated, it was 25 min. before we were even acknowleged by any wait staff. Not even a glass of water! Another couple minutes to have our order taken. Meanwhile we watched two other tables that came in after us be served drinks and one of them served apps.

By this time we were ready to order our meals as well as our drinks. After waiting several minutes for drinks, I mentioned to waitress that we were still waiting for drinks and her reply was "I don't mix the drinks."

Our drinks were finished by the time the food arrived so we ordered more to go with the meal. While we waited for those, we observed our waitress socializing an exchanging cell phone pics with the table behind us. We could see our drinks waiting to be picked up at the bar and I finally went up to the bar to retrieve them myself. Only then did she go up to the bar to bring us our drinks. By this time we were more than half finished our meals. At this time we asked for our bill.

We asked her what she thought of our service she said she thought she could of done better but then went on to give us excuses saying we don't know what goes on behind the scenes and denied scocializing with the other table.

At the end of the day, the food was very good but the service was terrible.

Carefully review your bill before paying. I requested additional salad dressing, because my salad was dry, and Chuck's charged me extra for the salad dressing. Also, Chuck's charges an "Honest to Goodness" fee of 3% of the total bill. I brought these additional charges to the attention of my Server and the Manager. The Manager kindly reversed the charge for the Salad Dressing; however, indicated that the "Honest to Goodness" fee was Chuck's Policy and they would not and evidently could not, reverse it as it is automatically added to the bill. Will I eat at Chuck's again? Possibly not!

It's my second time at this location , both times I order the same dish Steak & Lobster tail ; first time was horrible my lobster was bad and they only change that , I think they should have changed the whole plate ... give the place a second chance, but all tho prices are reasonable, service is not really good and definitely not in my top 10 places to visit .

We had a large group of srs. Took us almost 2.5 hours to order , eat and get our bills. Sure, there was a very large group, however, we paid our 3% honest to goodness fee, NOT, plus 15% sales tax as per usual, and then we had no choice but to pay 18% tip. We had no service. Our one

waitress was wonderful, but there should have been another staff, especially since this was set up two weeks ago. Just horrible, slow service. You lost a lot of business today, at least 35 people who may tell 35 people each, etc, etc. My 15.00 special was 25.00. Crazy. I did see 2 other team members, but I guess helping out just wasn't their job. Sad

Delicious food

Just wanna thank Chelsey for an amazing experience Chuck roadhouse Welland Ontario. She was on point. It’s the first time I’ve been at Chuck’s in Welland and not sat dry for a drink or with no napkins or with anyone checking on us. It was packed and she gave quality service with a pleasant attitude in a very busy atmosphere for my daughter and my stepfather we enjoyed our dinner. Thank you not enough complement. You really deserve it girl. Thank you so much.

We went to Chucks Roadhouse in Welland tonight for dinner and it was the WORST experience ever!!!

#1 it was freezing in there and they had space heaters set up everywhere. If the heat isn’t working then maybe you should close instead of making patrons freeze while trying to enjoy a night out!

#2 our server didn’t take our drink orders or come to our table for 15 mins at least after they sat us and served a table that was seated after us.

#3 we didn’t get our drinks until I had to ask them for them AFTER we had already gotten our appetizer.

#4 I had to ask 3 people for our cheque and waited over 20 mins for it and no they weren’t overly busy. We could never find our server and we weren’t the only table looking for her.

I had to get super sassy and was about 30 seconds away from just getting up and not paying for our dinner.

We will NOT be going back to that place again.

Amazing atmosphere! Came here for a birthday, and it was fantastic!

They had a lot of great options when it came to food and dessert. Great drink choices, both alcoholic and non.

Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place for a large group or a small party.

One thing was the bathroom for the men was out of order when we went.
