I was there for lunch yesterday with my sister. We both ordered the fish and frites. Was impressed with the fish. So crispy and not greasy until I cut into it. Mostly mush! Instead of the flaky fish I was expecting it was very very mushy and was unpleasant texture in my mouth. Later my sister told me hers was the same she just didn't want to complain because I was treating her and she didn't want to seem ungrateful. Then I went to the hairdresser this morning and mentioned I had been and she told me she had the same thing happen when she went.I don't think I will be back.

My husband made reservations for the two of us to celebrate my birthday. It was our first time here. The entire experience was outstanding! I had the beef tenderloin which was cooked to perfection! My husband had the chicken supreme which he said was delicious. Both entrees were seasoned perfectly. The potato leek soup was also one of the best soups we’ve had. Thank you, Taris, for a wonderful end to my already perfect day. We will be back.
Parking: We went for a 5:00 dinner and had no issues finding a parking spot.

Patio is gorgeous!! a little pricey but its totally worth it. boyfriend and I got the burgers for lunch and they were so big and so good! fresh ingredients for sure! our waitress was awesome. definitely will be our new date spot.

Celebrated my mother's 80th surprise birthday party at Taris on the Water. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience we all had. Karen, our server, was absolutely wonderful and went the extra mile to decorate our whole table with our party supplies before anyone got there. Karen was very attentive to all of our needs and couldn't have asked for a better server. The food was unbelievably delicious. Hats off to the chef's. I can't begin to reccomend food as we all loved every dish we had but I would definitely go back just for the appetizer of Brussels sprouts. Wow they were beyond amazing. Thank you again to Karen and everyone at Taris on the Water for such an amazing birthday celebration for my mother

Beautiful location and view. The food was delicious! I had an excellent burger. We sat on the terrace in the shade and had a wonderful lunch. Our waitperson was prompt and friendly and had a great sense of humor!

Love the setting!! Great server....very attentive and well informed. I had the Asian food bowl, which I thought was a very good portion size. However, I wouldn't say the same of my husband's fish tacos. It looked a little skimpy. Loved the music. Overall, a positive experience and will probably be back. Only negative is the limited parking in the back.

Met here for dinner with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was excellent. I had the Fruitte de mare, essentially seafood spaghetti, and the scallops were perfectly cooked. We finished with amazing desserts. The service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was perfect. Sitting outside is recommended, looking over the old canal. We will definitely return.

We’ve been to this wonderful restaurant several times, I would rate the food and service 10 stars if I could.Our latest visit was for Easter Brunch and once again we were wowed.My wife had the Breakfast Burger and I had the Lobster Eggs Benny which were both amazing meals.If you’ve never been to Taris I highly recommend that you do!

Our first time here and it was so lovely! Enjoyed the patio seating & having drinks. Our server was very nice and checked up on us a few times. Our food was amazingly well portioned especially the crispy Brussels sprouts. My husband isn’t a huge fan of Brussels sprouts but he enjoyed them with added on bacon! The pork schnitzel was so good. Very large portion!Would definitely come back!

Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp if your park in the back to go in the restaurant.
A wonderful setting, courteous waitress and Wow factor delicious meals!! We will return!

1 st time asked what the specialties were ? A ? and ? chips. Fish was flacky and fries, shoe string small, ok, nothing great for a restaurant. Calamari was ok, again, just simple. Sent back my coke as it was flat, and I got another flat coke. Our table had ? dripping down the inside of the window. It's disappointing in general. Staff was friendly. View was great. Save your money and get better food from the gourmet food trucks.

I phoned in November and was given a reservation for the outdoor globes for January 19th. The day before I received a text message asking me to confirm that we were still coming, which I did. On January 19th, our party drove to Welland from Burllington only to find the restaurant closed. No sign on the door. I had to go on the website to find out that it was closed until early February. When a phone call was made to the restaurant after it opened, no explanation was given as to why a reservation was made for when they were closed or why the text messaging happened. No apology was given or even that they would look into the text messaging. I was hopeful that we would have received an offer to rebook the globes, but nothing was said. I have eaten her before and was satisfied, but after this incident, I would not eat there again.
