Coffee:
I've been really happy with any of the coffee drinks (Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) I've had. It's nice knowing that the beans are roasted right around the corner.

Food:
The chocolate croissants and fruit turnovers are to die for, so definitely try them if they have any left!

Service:
All of the staff are super friendly and chatty in my experience :)

Atmosphere:
It was a good atmosphere and aesthetic before, but after they updated the interior, it's on a new level! Very consistent and on-brand aesthetic with the black and yellow wall accent!

My only complaint is that when it gets busy, the noise bounces and it can be hard to hear the person next to you. I wish there were baffles on the ceiling or something to dampen it a bit. Not sure what the solution would be. - Also this would of course never deter me from going back! It's the best coffee in Welland!

Cute little coffee shop in downtown Welland.

We stopped at this coffee shop while on a little mini trip to Weiland and Weiland Canal, and it seemed like the perfect spot to grab a cup of joe to start our day.
The small shop is on Niagara St just off Main St in Weiland, and is easy to spot, as it is a vibrantly painted building with a lovely mural on the side.
We ordered a couple of Lattes and they were perfectly made.
They offer only one size (I could have used a bigger one – but that’s my addiction)
The service is excellent, and although they have a store, they also offer a walk-up window, which I used to order my coffee.
We took our lattes and enjoyed them in the park along the canal on a beautiful day. Delightful spot for a coffee break.

Just passing through Welland, I pulled over for a coffee with my son. Grab a drip coffee and either enjoy inside or walk outside and have it by the river that passes right beside. Recommended.

Just off the Welland canal trail and there's also a takeout window if you are too lazy to lock your bike. There's a bike rack next to the front entrance facing the street, so I decided to dine in. Great coffee and lots of tables. Service was friendly as well. Not too many food options other than a few (hot) sandwiches (they were good but on the small side). So maybe don't come too hungry.

The coffee here is excellent and I plan on coming much more often now that I've tried it!

One of my greatest joys in life is walking here with my girls and my dog, grabbing a coffee and drinking it down at the river while my dog chases squirrels. I am very lucky to live within walking distance.

Great atmosphere and love the pop up up with Half Baked Bagel Co. Just wish they had sugar free syrup options, but they make the syrup themselves so I understand why they don’t at this point, but I wouldn’t mind a store bought sugar free option.

What a great experience at Black Sheep! David is a phenomenal barista and is very knowledgeable. I'm a very particular coffee drinker and Black Sheep checked off all the boxes for me.
Great equipment, great barista, awesome tools, attention to detail, and delicious coffee. They proved their quality with their latte art as well. My flat white had perfect texture with a smooth and sweet espresso. It was so good in fact I came back an hour later for round two!
I will be back tomorrow!

Waited well over an hour for my bagel order, didn’t receive it and then they were all out. Just unfortunate because it’s a lot of time just wasted.

Finally found the perfect place to shop for freshly roasted coffee beans. I used to buy coffee beans from Costco, wholesale stores, and Amazon. While some bags displayed the roasting date, by the time you get them off the shelves, they’re often far from freshly roasted, or the taste doesn’t quite match the freshness the date suggests.

The roasting date plays a crucial role in coffee’s flavor, taste, and crema. I’m absolutely impressed by the beans I got from Black Sheep—they are incredibly flavorful and refreshing. When you smell the espresso, you can detect a natural nutty aroma.

When I placed my order online, I noticed that Black Sheep roasts their beans every Tuesday, which ensures maximum freshness. This is absolutely essential. Highly recommend!

Great tasting coffee and friendly staff. Could do with bigger cup sizes.
