Ye Olde Squire Welland

My daughter and I were out post-Christmas shopping and stopped in for an early dinner. We had the 2 newest items on the menu: CFC Poutine and 3 Sliders with fries. The serving was huge and we both loved the presentation, portion and taste! The food came quickly for a non- fast food restaurant. there was plenty of gravy and cheese on the poutine and the sliders had a delicious onion aioli sauce with crispy little onions. My only improvment would be not to have the tops of the buns so oily. The fries were done exactly as I like them: well done with lots of crispy bits. Well done Squire!!!

Chris Juliet and I stopped at Ye Olde Squire after an evening of shopping at the Seaway Mall.

We ordered drinks and a meal. The food was very good, made exactly as advertised and filling. Fresh cut fries were a welcome bonus.

The wine and mocktail were great. Sangria was ok.

Staff were busy, but checked in often and took good care of us.

Last night I had dinner with 2 others. I am 95% happy with the food and service. Sorry nothing is perfect. The food was great, the beer was fizzy, the app was hot and tasty, the service alway great. Until I got the bill. I was actually shocked to see how much a glass of rootbeer was charged. $3.99 before tax each! WTF? I didn't ask if that was bottomless for that price. Just a heads up for those families with young children.

Was there with my 3 grandchildren Monday Sept 29 @ 3:30 p.m..
We all ordered chicken fingers and fries from Jackie. DELICIOUS! Then the littles got ice cream 👍 and I had the bitter tart with ice cream and caramel sauce 😕. Very disappointing. I've had this dessert a few times and was alesys so satisfied. But this one... the pue shell was almost empty ..very little butter tart mixture and it had lots of raisins. I never had one with raisins before. So dissatisfied and disappointed. My bill was $98 including a generous tip, however the dessert i had ruined my experience.

First time and came with family. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Pub atmosphere which we loved. Good food choices. Especially loved the shepherds pie by when we’re in the area, going for the Yorkshire! (I had a toothache but the fam left full and happy) . We’ll be back!

Very disappointed with the new summer menu..the grilled brisket on sourdough was not brisket. Spoke to waitress and manager on duty. Manager said you ate it? Told waitress that it was not brisket it was their beef dipped sandwich with bbq sauce . What happened to customer service? I have always enjoyed eating at ole squire its food and service. But today they lacked the professionalism and did not make my 50 dollar lunch worthy of me returning. They could have offered me something I was not happy. The manager saying to me you ate it? Was not the response I was expecting?

BAD SERVICE! The bartender had 0 personality and seems constantly miserable. The food was dry. Mediocre beer availability. WONT BE RETURNING.

The bar tender was so miserable I wanted to leave immediately but my boyfriend said give her a chance. So I did.

Not a happy face in the place. Sad sad place.

Worst waste of time and money.

Food wise we got the Sheppards pie and the vegetables were clearly frozen 0 taste in the meal.

On the plus side portions are generous.

Just rude. I went in a couple Saturdays ago by myself for lunch. I was looking forward to trying there fish and chips. Sat down at the bar, after waiting awhile I managed to order a drink which was way over priced, in my opion. The bartender didn't offer me a menu or ask me if I was interested in food. After getting up and finding myself a menu I again sat for another 15 to 20 minutes, she never bothered coming back also it wasn't busy. I put menu back and left. Really disappointed but on the other hand there's lots of places that would be glad to serve me.

Roast beef dip and Philly steak sandwiches were both fantastic. Had the baked potato soup also very good. Service top notch.
