This is a very late post, but my husband and I had an intimate wedding at the end of August in Picton and celebrated with a winery tour through the county. Our first stop was Karlo Estates, and it could not have been more perfect.
Sherry was absolutely wonderful to work with and made our first stop so special. We did all of our photography in the vineyard, and I couldn’t have asked for more beautiful pictures. Our group enjoyed a wine tasting and charcuterie in the side barn, which Sherry had beautifully decorated for us. The tasting included champagne, red, and white wines, and everything was thoughtfully curated and seamless.
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our celebration .. highly recommend Karlo Estates for any special occasion! Thank you Sherry and her team for making our day so magical!!

Been here a few times ~5 over the past ~10 years.
The wines have been interesting enough. Some were to my liking, some not, but they were probably to someone's, and that's the way it goes. Pretty good on that front.
Outdoor music space in the summer is quite charming. Would recommend this aspect.
Staff has been a bit up their own ass at times, and nice at times. That's a bit parr for the course in the wine world, and won't hold it against them too much.
So far reasonably good with the odd mixed in. I enjoy it enough but generallt would opt for other wineries over it, if there's a choice required. If that was it i'd prob go with a solid 3.5-3.9/5
But... I had ThE worst private/guided wine tasting ever here. Nice setup upstairs, but the guide spoke to us like we'd never heard of wine. We were provided the most basic of overviews on the wine, whilethe host was kinda boasting about the winery (hey gotra self promote but damn), and giving wine tasting instructions that were kinda ridiculous in my reasonably experienced opinion, and just wasn't reading the room that we were not into this approach at all. Add to that, the food pairings were bad, and we got rushed out of there after a pretty brief and limited tasting. Bad vibes beginning to end.

This was my husband & I first visit to Karlo Estates & it was such a cool one!! Once you walk inside you will see that it is different, especially their wonderful Speakeasy setting. It was such a fun experience. We each had a tasting of wines, without food as we had just eaten and they were all absolutely delicious. We ended up with 6 bottles of wine and my husband decided to order the Sextus (I believe it was called that) which will be available in Dec. The speakeasy is definitely a pretty cool experience with it's red velvet chairs, they have live music at times as well. We will be going back for sure. Paula was the nice lady that served us and she was very knowledgeable about the wines. Next time we will be actually touring outside the winery to see the beautiful scenery.

We recently spent some time in the county for our honeymoon. We only had time for a few vineyard visits. So glad we made the trip to Karlo. A Hidden gem in the County! Can't wait to come back and visit again.

Another great visit to Karlo Estates We enjoyed our wine tastings late in the afternoon on a Sunday. especially the Bubbly and Triumverate. But it was the people that made our visit truly excellent. ‘Bee’ was delightful -, knowledgeable about the wines, and kind and sincere. We look forward to visiting again. Xo.

Good wine. But really cheeky that the lady poured a glass of bubbles for us each when we arrived without asking, and then charged us for it. We didn't asked or it, you suggested it, so don't look pissed off when we are surprised when the bill is presented.
