Stopped in to try breakfast. I had the around the horn and my wife the Canadian Sammy. The peameal, sausage and bacon were very good and the sour dough toast was a very nice touch. Home fries were deep fried to a golden brown … I prefer hashbrowns done on a griddle but they all got eaten and they were not over spiced like some places. My wife said her sandwich was delicious and a little messy with the maple butter but I wouldn’t know as I wasn’t offerred a bite!! We will...
We are regulars at Pounder's. Today, they offered breakfast for the first time so we checked it out. As expected, it was excellent! It was lovely looking out at the lake early in the morning. Best peameal bacon we've ever had. The homefries with mushrooms and onions were great. The portions were generous. Haley, Chelsea and the crew were on their game. We will definitely be seeing them again for breakfast!!
It was a lovely sunny evening but we were told we couldn't sit out on the patio because it was too blustery (there was no wind at all). The dining room is strange and cold. The food was ok. There was a rowdy, sweary crowd yesterday that put me off. I don't think I can recommend Pounders.
