Four of us came in for dinner tonight, as we often do, all of us from the industry. One former GM of fine dining restaurants, one current GM, one former supervisor and one current supervisor, we were delighted with the food, but the service was beyond horrendous. Our server seems annoyed from the very moment we were seated that we were even there. She brought us water and never again asked if we ever wanted more. She took drink orders, and we had to ask to make our food order. We again had to request a secondary drink order, but after that once our food arrived, she never returned again. Not to clear our plates, not to ask if we needed more water or would like more beverages, not to check on our food, not to ask if there was anything else we could’ve possibly wanted.
We would’ve spent more money. We would have the most certainly drank more. I think this may be the first time we ever went out to eat and didn’t order dessert, not for a lack of wanting to, but for a server who clearly didn’t want to pay attention to be able to order anything at all.
The restaurant had seven tables in it, most of which, by the time we were finished, we’re also done, and the patio was empty. There was other staff on the floor. The male server on staff was absolutely fantastic. He helped to clear our table and even offered to take a photo of our group.
When our server finally did come back we expressed that we would have ordered more things and have stayed longer, had she even thought to check on us just once. She did not offer an apology but was merely annoyed that we were still there, and continued with her attitude right up until we paid.
If you’re going to 12welve and your server is Zinet, either ask for a different one, or leave. She will single handily ruin the beautiful atmosphere and amazing food.

I am honestly really disappointed in the food here. I usually don’t leave a review until a few days post dinner so I can really sit with how the food was (sometimes in the moment we are annoyed) however, still to this day I’m extremely disappointed in my meal. I ordered the brisket Mac and cheese and I got flavourless macaroni with oil soup.
I have never got a brisket Mac and cheese with this much oil, I was absolutely floored. It would’ve been less of an issue if the food had flavour but it was bland.
My bf and I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while and safe to say we won’t be back here.
The beer was great tho and for that it gets 2 stars!

Overall a great experience! Great quality food. Everything was delicious. Service was extremely helpful, personable and professional. Their street level patio could use some upgrading, it would have been nice to be able to eat on the upstairs patio but overall a wonderful spot!

Have been coming here religiously for the last 4-5 years and has been my go to for events such as birthdays and business meals. Recently they have changed most of the front / waiting staff. This coincides with a marked decline in food quality. Unfortunately and disappointingly, I had yet another very unpleasant interaction with said new staff. Won’t be coming back.

We were really excited to head back to 12welve Bistro (after a number of great previous visits) for their lobsterfest. After asking for help deciding, we opted for the whole lobster with spicy bucatini, tenders and pretzels to start. We ran into a few problems with our app and pasta. As soon as we asked our server/bartender, he was so apologetic and jumped on making everything more than right, even when we said it was okay and not to worry. I can't say enough about the lengths that he and the chef went to to make everything all right and it was so appreciated. Everyone was very friendly and we were well taken care of. I can't recommend 12welve enough. If not for the delicious food and relaxing atmosphere, then definitely for the incredible service!

Had a bit of a bizarre experience. Made a reservation for 8pm because it was the only time available. Received a call 20 minutes before asking if we were still coming. I said we were but with 2 less people. When we arrived the server was friendly and got our drinks right away. Our whole party wasn't there yet and the server kept asking when they were coming. We said they were on there way. She then kept pushing us to order our food because the kitchen was closing. This was an hour a half before the closing time. We ordered food but the server kept asking where the rest of our party was and if they were ordering food. She then asked us to message our friends to get their order because they wanted to close the kitchen. Every single time she came to the table she asked where our friends were. We felt so uncomfortable and like we were bothering her for being there. We are all in the industry so we understand wanting to close when it's dead but the way she went about it was crazy. Every time she came over we felt more and more unwelcome. It was my birthday and my friend asked if they did anything for birthdays and she said “not for free” ... that wasn't what we were asking, just wondering if they did a candle or anything. She was promoting a cocktail that we all ordered, and when we wanted to order another round she said the bartender was gone so they couldn't do it anymore. When one of our friends arrived who we ordered food for, it was brought out in a take out box. The whole experience was just bizarre.

We really enjoyed dinner here, the food and service were amazing - both the Chimichurri and Caesar salad were great. Coconut curry mussels were the best, sauce is so good you could drink it. Flights are awesome if you want to try a variety of what they have on tap, and the tiramisu espresso martini for dessert did not disappoint.
