Awesome service! Cara at Banter was a pleasure to deal with in helping plan for a birthday event on the patio last Saturday. She was very accommodating and did it all on short notice for approximately 45 people! Most of the people who attended the party are regular customers of Banter. The friendly service that Cara, Sara and the staff provide is a big reason why! We look forward to celebrating more events at Banter.

I can't say enough about the service and atmosphere at Banter!! As a regular patron of this fine establishment, it's not taken for granted how invested the servers are in the satisfaction of their customers. At a recent gathering, Cara, Sarah and Mikayla were able to meet the needs our large group with a level of attentiveness you can't get anywhere else!! With an expanded food and drink menu and excellent live music offerings, there is no better venue in the Whitby/Brooklin area. Thanks again to Cara and Co.!!!!

Been going to Banter for years now, and it always is a great time. Great food & drinks which evolve with the seasons, but the real stars of this place is the staff. Cara, Sarah and Mikayla are absolutely fantastic and always aim to make sure you have the best experience. Don’t be surprised if this place is rocking on a Friday/Saturday evening, especially in the summer when there is live music.

“Kettle chips” are just lays potato chips and the nachos are also grocery store bought. Definitely charge to much for them.

Loved drinking flight of beers here on the patio on a hot summer afternoon. My wife loved the shandy especially on this hot afternoon. The flight of 4 snacks and the pretzels went down really well together. Oh the pizza was fantastic too (though we did not have pizza on this day).

Great live music , good beer, good vibes

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a cozy community hub than just a place to grab a drink. The staff are passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share their craft with you — whether you're a seasoned beer aficionado or just dipping your toes into the world of craft brews.
The beer? Absolutely phenomenal.

We stopped in for a quick drink on our way across town to an event.

The live music was friendly and welcoming. It is a very small lounge area, i assume the place has a decent brewery that takes up most of the facility floor space.

Sarah, or Sara, was on the ball. We both noted how well the only staff visible for the Saturday night was the bartender. And she knew exactly what was going on.

We had the stout and cider. Sheet we made the order e realized the cider wasn't local, which is what we aim for from craft breweries, so no comment on that.

But the stout was what I drank and thought it had a great body and taste. I would definitely be looking into adding these to my fridges.
