Big Dave’s is an interesting place to visit. Just a small place, but has a good selection of ice cream, a nostalgic candy section, and a small menu for burgers, fries and pizza.The food itself is average, but the customer service is very friendly and the experience is fun. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating.

I wanted to try this place because I always drive by it and the reviews were really good. I ordered a plain burger and fries, and when I got the burger I realized the middle was raw, so I went to try the fries and 80% of them were undercooked and hard. I was really disappointed because the food looked really good. I’m giving it 2 stars because I can tell it is good quality but I’m disappointed that my food wasn’t cooked properly

First time trying Big Daves and I will definitely be back! I got their beef dip with fries and I am absolutely stuffed! I couldnt even finish half of the fries I was given because the portions are so big. Beef dip was great, lots of meat and cheese and the au jus was delicious! Highly recommend to check this place out and support local.

Um excuse me? These were the nicest people ever, and made great recommendations right off the bat as we were trying to decide what to choose. I'm assuming (Dave) gave us the biggest scoops of ice cream you can imagine, and they have Kawartha Dairy so we know where we'll be going to get that now!The food was excellent!

Went to their food truck at Blackstock Fair today. Overall it was not good at all. Got the Philly Steak which was anything but "piled high" as it was described, and the bun literally fell apart. It was mostly peppers & onions, and $13. The Peameal was decent, although not a large portion. The burger was absolutely tasteless and not good, we ended up throwing it out, it had zero flavor and tasted burnt. The fries were very good, and the onion rings looked amazing but had no flavor whatsoever. We also got 3 pops with the above order, and it totalled $55.!!!! Gotta say, we were all very excited to try and support a local business, but the experience was very disappointing. Will not risk revisiting this place again.

Last Sunday, it was hot and sultry and my grandson and his wife dropped in to my Brooklin home to visit/ They were hungry but every place he called in town, wasn't open yet, so I told him about Big Daves and how good it was. He grew up here and was intrigued, so we drove up there. It was a disaster!! The girl behind the counter was too busy telling us all about her ancestry, etc. to pay attention to what we wanted and needed. The food was disgracefull, I had huge chunks of uncooked sweet potato, not chips. His wife got a cob of corn on a broomstick, barely warm and slathered with mayonaise!! Nothing was edible!!

Had the beef tacos today and asked for them Extra Spicy. Boyyyyy, did they ever hit the spot. Generous sized side salad too and with pop and tip was $20. I will be returning again to try other menu items. 10/10. Hats off to Chef Alejandro!

Nothing better than weekend ice cream date. Love love love loveeee the raspberry thunder and wolf paw, best combination. Everyone was super friendly, sharing about best places to eat around the area. The drive was very beautiful as well. We’ll come back for pizza one day.

We were stuffed right over and was SOOOOO good!!! We got the Irish Nachos, Onion rings, the J*** Burger and the Big Dave's burger. You can taste the homemade and rustic flavours throughout. So well done to perfection!! You can really taste the difference between this place and any corporate or franchised burger joint. Their prices match the amount you get. No complaints there. Super chill nicest people working there. PLUS!! They have a great selection of old school candy and hard to find items and a really great pop selection! Stuff you don't see often or anywhere else!! DEFINITELY GOING BACK!!!

Well I just finished my meal and am sitting in their parking lot absolutely stuffed! Not sure I can even drive now!!! LolI ordered a Big Dave’s Burger with Poutine, and I’m ashamed to say that I couldn’t get through it. I ended up taking half of one of the patty’s off just to finish the rest of this delicious burger!!! Poutine was excellent as well, and I also wasn’t able to finish it!I ordered online and it was a very smooth transaction. I also love all of the special drinks they have in the fridge! I haven’t found Tahitian Treat in probably 20 years!!!Thank you!!!

Driven by here a million times , finally stopped and boy am I glad, staff was super friendly, the fries are out of this world . There is a wide selection of candy and pop that you don't see everywhere, retro choices for sure takes me back to my childhood. There is outdoor sitting areas and the food came out pretty quickly they even have a pager system in case you want to wait in your car .
