I like the atmosphere, and the view is great. Ultimately though, you're paying high prices for small portions and the food is good, but not great. I'd probably still eat here again, but the pricing needs to change. $20 for 3 spring rolls is not reasonable.

I LOVED the food and experience, but was so disappointed they did not have a gluten free bread option for our gluten free friends.

Bistro 67, is a hidden gem in the Durham region. The food was amazing, staff was friendly and attentive. Appreciate the concept of farm to table, and students learning, their chosen trade within the community. We will definitely come back and tell our friends.

Had about an hour and a half to kill before next class so me and three friends went to grab a bite to eat. About an hour later we finally got our food after inquiring multiple times how much longer it would take since we were worried we wouldn't have enough time to eat before class.( the restaurant was almost empty) I ordered the quesadilla for me and my friend and I guess I should've read the description more closely but all it was, was three small pitas with a sprinkling of sauerkraut inside. One of the waiters was very diligent about refilling my water so that was nice but overall a very underwhelming experience. Left hungry and poorer.

My husband and I went for our 1st time to Bistro '67. It was a special outting, as we hadn't been out in awhile with 2 young kids at home. My husband looked up Google reviews and found Bistro '67 to be the best in the area so we tried it out. I hope this review can help others make their dining decision. The restaurant opened at 530pm and we were one of the first tables seated. The servers and students were friendly and it was very interesting to hear what they have growing and going on right on site.We ordered a bottle of red Chianti from Italy and our entrées were the Hanger Steak and Lamb Korma. WE. LOVED. IT. Portions were plenty. Presentation was lovely and flavour was wonderful. We absolutely will be back again to try their fresh and seasonal menu items. It was so refreshing to find good food and service for reasonable prices. Thank you to all the chefs and staff who made our dining experience a great one! See you soon, and to others - make your reservation!

I just experienced my least favourite dining experience, ever. Ive always wanted to try this place, knowing the culinary and hospitality students are involved. How miserably disappointing! The salad had large chuncks of woody, chewy, nasty parsnip. The rest of the salad was okay, but ruined by occasional mouthfulls of inedible parsnip. The carrot and coconut soup was absent of any hint of coconut and seasoning and was over spiced. The lamb korma was awash in oil and it was impossible to discern what the meat actually was. It could have been beef, lamb, or even goat. The accompanying vegetables were raw (not undercooked, but raw), and the rice was bland and nondescript. We had different desserts. My wife's coconut flan was actually a creme caramel, except the custard was chalky with and unpleasant texture. I opted for the lemon tiramasu. It turned out to be a dense white cake with a thin layer of lemon mascapone cheese between the layers. Neither dessert was even close to our expectation based on the description. All of that was washed down by a $64 bottle of VQA gamay red wine. It had the colour and body of Kool-aid with unpleasant topnotes of engine oil and bottom notes of bitter herbs. There was nothing remotely pleasant about the wine.Serving staff constantly asked us to hand them plates and appeared to be poorly trained in hospitality standards. To top off our unpleasant experience, our validated parking pass refused to allow the exit gate to open. A press of tge "help" button resulting in an officious security guard who refused to let us out, the machine indicating that $28.10 was owing for the 1¼ hoursw we were parked. Finally, after providing our names, etc, the woman reluctantly opened the barrier. After $250 and a terrible experience, we were finally allowed to leave.I hate fast food, but a trip to Burger King would have been infinity more pleasurable.I can only assume that the culinary arts teaching staff at this establishment adhere to the old adage that, " those who can do and those that can't teach." The students need better more qualified instruction, or significantly more supervision and remedial instruction.Parking: Except that they apparently dont know how to properly validate your ticket. The security staff are officious and unfriendly.

So I have been wanting to try this restaurant now for quite some time. Today was my girlfriend's birthday so I made reservations for us to go for dinner. We were definitely not disappointed! First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful! Great atmosphere, the seating is very comfortable and the tables are comfortably spread apart. While you're at your table you have a full panoramic view of South Whitby(I know it's not the downtown Toronto skyline but it's beautiful at night). The parking is free(with restaurant validation) and there is ample parking as well. I have to say, I didn't know what to expect but, after walking into the restaurant i was quite impressed! Our greeting was friendly and made us feel very welcome, the table was great, and the food.....amazing! Top quality! I had the Bistro '67 burger and fries and my girlfriend got the "rising star special" which at this particular time was a pork dish made by one of the students. Both meals were soo fresh and soo good! The service was phenomenal, fast, friendly and very professional! This restaurant we will definitely be going back to for sure. Lastly I'd like to touch on the prices......I have to say that is probably the best part...for two after having the burger and fries, two pops, appetizers and the chef's special...it was all under $100!! You would think it would be like the Keg prices or a fancy Steakhouse but, I have to say Bistro '67 checked off all the boxes and left us wanting more! We will be back! Thanks for such a great first experience at Bistro '67!!

Delicious food, ingredients that come from the garden just outside the restaurant, a menu that changes every week and the pleasure of tasting the results of the work of the culinary students of the Durham College culinary program. We tried the chicken empanadas appetizer, a beef rib dish, pasta dish of the day and chicken supreme. All were delicious. The white sangria cocktail was also delicious. Not the cheapest restaurant around, but definitely a great experience.Recommended!Vegetarian options: Clearly identified vegetarian option on the menu.Dietary restrictions: Dairy free, vegetarian and gluten free options.Parking: Large free parking.

Excellent food and excellent service with every visit, without fail. They make the best burger in Oshawa/Whitby, despite the requirement to cook them well-done. You would have to search very far to find an equal burger. One particularly unique aspect of the dining experience is that the sous chef is always around to welcome guests, verify order accuracy and ensure enjoyment, in addition to his sous chef duties. He elevates the dining experience with every visit and I trust him to ensure that my meticulous burger-order is prepared correctly every time. I am always happy with my dining experience at Bistro '67 and would recommend it to anyone for almost any occasion.Parking: Ensure to validate your parking pass prior to departure.
