A true gem for Durham Region, went in today and had a great experience. Definitely busy for a Saturday, but the wait was worth it! There was a small mix up during our seating which wasn't a big issue, and they went above and beyond and comp'd our drinks due to it. Great eats and even greater service!

We had a decent breakfast overall, but unfortunately the experience didn’t quite live up to the price point or expectations.

One thing that really stood out (and not in a good way) was the excessive use of paper towel in the open kitchen. It was honestly shocking — hands washed, then a long strip of paper towel every single time. Over the two hours we were there, it felt like half a roll was used by one person alone. It came across as extremely wasteful and distracting.

Drinks were also underwhelming for the cost. The hot chocolate was made with a no-name powdered mix and wasn’t even stirred properly — powder was sitting at the bottom of the cup. At $4.50, I would expect either a better-quality product or more care. Same goes for the tea: $4 for a basic Tetley tea bag feels excessive.

On a positive note, the food itself was solid. The avocado toast was good (nothing groundbreaking), and the sourdough bread was genuinely delicious.

All in all, between the slow service, pricing, and lack of that “local gem” feeling, I don’t think I’d return. For what you pay, I expected a bit more attention to detail and overall experience.

Stopped in for breakfast here. Had the chicken and french toast, it came with a butter that was out of this world and I asked for both sauces to try it with which were fantastic. I thought the chicken was over cooked by first glance but everything worked. Prices are pretty high but quality of food and portion seem worth it. Wife had the hash browns and egg item which she enjoyed. Service was great, the only issue I had was the draft of wind that comes in once the door is opened which is kind of annoying but solid food! 4.5/5 ⭐️

Had an amazing experience at Brunch & Co yesterday! The food was outstanding and our server Maddy was wonderful - so attentive, sweet and personable. This is such a bright, beautiful brunch spot with an incredible menu. The eggs benny on sourdough was amazing and I need to try the lemon ricotta pancakes next. Can’t wait to be back!!

The food was flavourful and our party of four were impressed by the creative takes on traditional breakfast favourites. The service was great. Our server, Rose, was helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was fresh and bright. This was our first time here and we'll definitely be coming back again. 😀

I saw your response to my review below and I wanted get in touch with you to clarify your accusations that my review was incorrect. Let me be very clear, do not accuse me of lying when I know as a customer what I had experienced at your restaurant. It was sucha horrifying experience. My husband gave his name as MAY which is the short form for Mayuran. When your waiter asked for my reso name, I mentioned Mayuran not Ryan. If your waiter misunderstood the name, she could have clarified it without seating us down. Your waiter never asked me whether my reso name was Ryan. She simply asked for my reso name and told me I was next in line. It is so disgusting that your team will go to the extent of gaslighting your customers to re-write a narrative that suits you best.

I do not need to lie to get a seat when I had already gracefully waited for more than an hour with a hungry toddler.

Your business practice, your ability to critically think and problem solve without causing distress for your customers were extremely poor. I am a business owner myself. If I were in your shoes, I would never ask to move seated guests with a hungry toddler to smaller table. PERIOD.

I would critically think and resolve the issue by prioritizing the customers I have already seated. If your waiter misunderstood the pronunciation and didn't clarify , that's her problem. Your restaurant was also very loud.

Also, how would I know that there's someone named Ryan on the list whose name sounds very similar to my husband's?

This is the first time in my life where I had experienced something like this at a restaurant. I walked out of your restaurant with disgust and heightened stress with a hungry toddler. As a business owner, you should know that it is important to accommodate vulnerable individuals such as seniors, pregnant women and mothers with babies and young children. It is common sense. An universal act of kindness. You showed zero remorse and empathy and put us as well as other customers in your restaurant in a very uncomfortable and tensed situation. We kept our demeanor at your restaurant because we didn't want to disturb other customers who were dining. Even in that moment of disrespect, we had the empathy to care for others whereas you showed no sense of understanding.

It is absolutely unacceptable and we will not return to your restaurant and will be sharing our experience with others.
