Had the Country fried steak, wings, and pork shoulder. Had high expectations and was disappointed. Everything was really over seasoned. Steak was tough, several of the wings were broken (a sign for me that the chickens were processed by throwing them into the cages or trucks--hence a low quality supplier). Pork shoulder was the strongest dish (without the sauce).Staff were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant had a pleasant and fun atmosphere. It can get busy and if dining in you may need to wait for a table to open up which can be awkward because you order first.Lots of takeout traffic so clearly a favourite of the locals.Kid-friendliness: Pretty chill atmosphere to bring young kids in.

The service was friendly when I arrived to pick up my order, but that was the only positive of this experience. All the food was bland and not seasoned at all (no salt on the fries). Mac and cheese tasted like it was made with a kraft single, also no salt. The fries were black, basically inedible and the chicken sandwich had no crunch at all. The dill dip didn’t really taste like anything. Overall, overpriced for small servings of mediocre food. Really wanted to like this place, but was disappointed.

The front staff are very rude and disrespectful to customers, even to Uber drivers. Specially the old leidy acts very rude. Hope the restaurant manager takes action regarding this bad and rude lady.

Let's start with the good. Service really good, friendly staff. Hush Puppies 9*, Mac & Cheese 7*. The bad, one of the worst french fries I have ever had. Chicken Hot Nashville sandwich 2* at best, there was coleslaw and a heavy vinegar flavor. I really really wanted to like this place, drove 1.5 hours.

Never had a good experience here, food always comes out cold and today I recieved a completely different meal. I keep trying to like it (because I love meat & 3) but this place really isn't it. Save your money.
Nice food, portion was a bit small compared with other restaurantsxprice.They took forever to bring our milk-shake. We could see that they left the machine working and just forgot about it.The food also, we ordered simple pork belly with fries/ceaser an it took almost 1 hour to be served. This was on a saturday out of Rush hour.Besides the waiting time, the food was really tasty and smells delicious.

Absolutely love the food here. I spent some time in Southern US and appreciate the southern specialties that Butchies does so well. We particularly like their pulled pork and pulled chicken. While the interior could use a bit of updating, the summer is great to sit out on the picnic tables in the side yard. We often go just for a Kawartha cone.

Just ordered from UberEats. Too bad they didn't read the Uber screen.I ordered chicken wings and got chicken fingers.I don't like their chicken fingers so I wanted to try the wings instead. Deviled Eggs tasted very off and green beans were cold and soggy.Thankfully, I got all my money back to spend at an establishment that sends the proper order.Never again.

Whoa what a find. Chicken fried steak, hush puppies, and proper poutine. My kids loved everything about this place. One had the hot Nashville chicken sandwich and the other had the crispiest buttermilk wings ever. I had the pulled pork and my husband had the chicken fries steak. Everyone loved what they ordered.
