Butter Chicken Roti - Whitby

Yesterday I came into the restaurant because it caught my eye since I love shawarma and their signage is quite bright and showcases their food on the windows.

I got a Falafel shawarma combo with a salad and a water, the shawarma is bigger than the water bottle, was full of a nice amount of toppings and sauces. Their Falafel is quite literally the best Falafel I've ever had from a restaurant everyone else's was very dry, hard to eat and didn't really enjoy but this restaurants Falafel was good, it had some crispiness on the exterior and it's very soft and pleasant on the inside! So I will be eating their Falafel again!
I like their hot sauce it's flavorful and not too hot so you can add quite a bit to your food if you please.

The shawarma is quite filling on it's own so you don't need a side if you have a small appetite like myself but their salad is good. There's plenty of sauce options and decent toppings and several shawarma types

Also the employee who served me although newer to the restaurant was very kind to me and very accommodating like I don't enjoy soda much and I was able to have just a water with ease, he also struck up some light conversation and complimented me on my septum piercing so I find this restaurant to be welcoming and caring rather than dismissive or rude

So I will be returning, thank you for the good meal ❤️😊

There was a lady named Jeanette or Janette. Vanette. I apologize for not remembering.

Anywho it was around 7:00pm on the Wednesday July 2nd. She is very kind and very good at what she is doing and a very good cook. The food was very very good.

What a brilliant find! Gentlemen working was extremely nice and so polite. Went into detail about the different choices. I had the butter chicken and I can’t say enough good about it! It was excellent!

I love this place and will always give a 5 🌟. However today I asked for no spice on our roti. It was so spicy hot my toes are sweating. We all make mistakes and we decide to make it a game of who could eat it first...lol.. I lost . But at the end of the day . . Still a 5 🌟

I’ve been to other Butter Chicken Roti places and this is by far the worst I’ve ever been to. Everything was stale.

The vegetables were Mccains frozen ones, probably from Sobeys next door. And they were still partially frozen.

Very little chicken in the butter chicken.

There was no different between the hot and mild.

This was the worst meal I’ve had since my ex’s mother cooked for me.

I had really high hopes for some authentic butter chicken, I mean it’s literally in the name. While the portion sizes seem fair, the butter chicken was pretty bland and actually quite watery. The naan was also over cooked and rock hard.
There was no one else in the restaurant so I’m not sure why there was so little attention to detail and quality.

It’s best to stick to what you know is going to be consistent time and time again, and that is going to “signature Indian”. Live and learn.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Bhagydesh, who made the experience even better with his hospitality. I tried the butter chicken with rice, and it was absolutely mouthwatering. You can tell it was made with love! The flavors were rich and authentic, making every bite a delight. The ambiance of the restaurant had a cozy, inviting feel, bringing a little piece of India to Whitby. I’ll definitely be stopping by again and highly recommend it to family and friends. A must-visit spot for anyone craving delicious Indian food!

Have always had good food here until today. I ordered butter chicken for my children and the sauce is so watery and flavourless. Very disappointed. He made rich thick curries for other orders and then poured water into the left overs in the pan and that's what I got served.
