I would have given 0 stars if there was an option. Their quality has dropped so much, it feels like you are eating garam masala with boiled rice in the name of biryani. The vegetable curry mix that goes into the biryani was negligible. Not even 1% of the rice. Literally no taste of it. The very first bite I took of the veg dum biryani, my mouth and throat started irritating because of so much garam masala in it. Biryani ke naam par dhabba

I want to start by mentioning that I used to live this place. It was the GO TO place in Whitby for Biryani whenever I wanted to dine in or take out.

However, recently when I went there to dine in and ordered Goat Biryani it was not even close to one.

Very dry, tasteless rice with few chunks of goat meat that was not tender at all but chewy.

Also wanted to mention that the appetizers were really good.

Massive difference between this and the Scarborough one. We ordered Paneer Shaak, Naan, Chole Bhature and Dry Manchurian.. the food was so mid. Barely any taste. Even though we asked them to make it spicier, the flavor was very mild. I understand that the demographics of this area is such that not very many people would want food with flavor but we went in assuming the food was taste exactly like the Scarborough one.

Would NOT recommend this location.

Terrible service! Called before going… after reaching there they told us that most of the menu items were not available.. this was on a weekday at 7.30PM. They said they were out of items.

Fantastic customer service. It's my favorite Indian restaurant in Ontario! I dropped my drink outside the restaurant, so I went to ask for another one but the kind gentleman didn't charge me for the second one. My go to place for my birthday!

We took out the Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biryani for a Saturday dinner and was perfectly flavoured with the perfectly sized pieces of mutton, great quantity too - small tray serves 6-8! Been consistent over the last 3-4 years that we’ve been eating here.

The dosas and idli here are so yummy and fresh. Sukhpreet was so thoughtful and she remembered my order details regarding allergies from our previous visits. I was super impressed. Charminar is my go to place in Whitby
