I wanted to share some honest feedback about our recent visit. We had a reservation for seven people (3 adults and 4 kids) at 6:00 p.m. and were seated promptly, which we appreciated. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but things quickly went downhill from there. We waited about 15 minutes without being acknowledged, and only after asking did we find out who our server was. She came by about five minutes later and, while she was friendly and had a positive attitude, the service overall left a lot to be desired. It took another 10 minutes just to receive our drinks. After placing our food order, we waited well over an hour for our meals. Meanwhile, several tables that arrived well after us were being served their entrees. The kids were understandably getting restless and hungry. When we asked about the delay, we were told the food would be out "in a minute"—but it was another 15 minutes before anything arrived. Even then, not everything was right. My niece's pasta was served cold, and the soup I ordered never arrived at all. My second drink I ordered finally came about 30 minutes later. By this point, the restaurant had quieted down, with large portions of the dining area empty, so the ongoing delays were hard to understand. The only person who acknowledged the situation and apologized was the hostess. While I still chose to leave a 15% tip, the overall experience was really disappointing. We were there for 2.5 hours, much of that time just waiting—with four hungry kids in tow. I hope this feedback is helpful. We were really looking forward to a nice evening out, but unfortunately, this visit fell far short of expectations.

Our server was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating for our large and diverse group that included kids and grandparents. Food was great, as always, and we'll be back again in the future.

Worst restaurant experience ever! After waiting 25 minutes for someone to come over to take our drink order, I had to go find hostess to ask for service. Waitress came 5 minutes later and with no apology, she asked, what do you want? We ordered and after 10 minutes with no drinks....we left! Had the best service and meal at Swiss Chalet.
