This morning I went to the gym with my two friends, had a great back day! Then shortly after one of my friends asked us if we wanted to go out to dinner, I decided to say yes, life is short why not! We browsed and browsed, and decided on 12welve bistro & tapwerks! We booked a reservation but when we walked in the sign said seat yourself, the lady host still walked us to our table which was really nice. I decided to order the wagyu burger, and oh boy it was tasty alright. I was feeling wacky for the wagyu, I left with a full stomach. The burger was hard to fit in my mouth.

Stopped in with a few friends for dinner. Got the pretzel app, dipping sauce was meh. Mustard was good but cheese sauce tasted fake and cheap. Flatbread was good, what you'd expect but very cheesy. Wagyu burger I hear was worth the extra $7 compared to regular burger. Everything was a bit overpriced but that is the norm these days. Good beer and good service. I think this place is better for a quick drink and maybe appetizer, would rather elsewhere for a nice dinner.

Stopped for dinner on a Wednesday night. Got a table for 3 without waiting. Order the red curry. Friends had fish and chips. Huge pc of fish. Good food. Drafts cold have been colder. Food was good, normal service, nothing exciting. Parking was horrible.

All the food I have tried at 12 has me wanting to go back! From the duck fat poutine appetizer to the spicy burger, I haven't tried something I didn't like. My first time there I got the duck carbonara and I think I could eat that every time I go. I have branched out, getting a burger and the fish and chips at different events. All was a class above the other restaurants in the area and I could recommend it more. Sit at the bar for the best service. Speaking of the bar, the only downside I have is the drinks. Of the two beers and two ciders I've tried made by 12, I would have rather gotten a generic brand as the taste isn't what I look for. To each their own, my coworkers have enjoyed the beer!

If you are in and around whitby, you should check out this gastropub 12welve! I recently dined at Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks, and I must say, it was really good.Their Korean cauliflower and Korean burger was super delicious!Overall I was very impressed with the experience!Service too good!Ambience warm! Pricey side!

It's always a great time at 12welve Bistro! The atmosphere is fun and energetic and the service is always fantastic. I love the exposed brick and large windows in the space. My only qualm is that if you get seated near the window, it does get a little chilly. The food was very good. Fish tacos were a great portion size and the fish was perfectly crispy. The cauliflower had fantastic flavour with a bit of a kick. Yum! We also ordered the white chocolate brownie to share, this is one that I would skip going forward. Overall, great experience!

My friend and I had just completed a tour of Brock St brewery, located in the same building. It was a very interesting tour, complete with complimentary samples. We stopped in at 12welve Bistro, located on the ground floor of the same building. It's a restaurant/pub operated as a separate entity. My friend had the Coconut Curry Mussels and he really liked it. It looked and smelled really good. I would have tried it if I wasn't allergic to shellfish. Darn!My This burger had two Angus beef patties, a slice of pork belly, smoked cheddar, their secret sauce, and a side of fries. This was a really good burger! It was thick, flavourful, and juicy. The fries were really good too!I've dined here in the past and everything has always been really good, including the ambiance, and service. If you haven't been here, give it a try!

Hosted a company party in the event space. Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. The venue was well maintained and nicely decorated! Last but not least, the food and drinks were delicious. The accommodation for various dietary needs was effortless, and we really enjoyed the tour of the brewery including a tasting session in the lounge! Thanks again to Cherie and all the staff that made this night a resounding success :)

I've been to 12welve bistro about a half a dozen times so I'm grading my review on a bit of an upwards curve. My visit was particularly disappointing. The atmosphere and place are fantastic. And the food is really good, they have a great menu. One of my issues on my last visit were the portion sizes. I ordered the fish and chips and my girlfriend ordered the winter salad with chicken. We had ordered these before and the portions were about half size from before. The fish had a lot of batter and a thin piece of fish. The fries size was about a small McDonald's. My girlfriend mentioned they used half a chicken versus a full breast from before. At a cost of about $30 you expect to be full, but we were still hungry. My other issue was the feeling of being rushed by the waitstaff. We didn't have reservations so we sat at the bar. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday and it was about 730 and after 3 rounds of drinks so I started hearing whispers "when these people are finished". Doesn't make you feel very welcome. But all past experiences were much better.

I have been to a few events at 12welve through work and personal. I have also hosted a birthday party as well. The service and the space are incredible, and always top notch! The Easy on 12welve is probably one of my favourite events I have been to. But New Years was classy, great music, so much snacks (delicious) so it would be a close 2nd! You feel like you are in the distillery district in Toronto without having to go all they way down there! I highly recommend attending and booking your own events here.

Went here for birthday dinner, and ended up with terrible food and service. Out of the 8 dishes we tried 7 will certainly keep us away from this restaurant. I'm surprised this place has more than two stars. The flat bread had hard tasteless bread, the sauce was very close to flavourless pasta sauce, topped with some meat I couldn't identify. The fries the waitress told us were meant to be soft... but they were cold and limp. The burger was less than average. Sweet potato fries were good. The seafood pasta, it was loaded with curry powder, to the point that it was gritty with coconut milk, the flavour is closer to Singapore noodles, not even close to Panang curry (missing tamarind sauce, lime, spice, and most other thia flavours). The salmon came with raw risotto. The beers were good, but the Margaritas tasted like vodka with water, that rimmed on 30% of the glass. The service was one of the worst I have experienced, our server brought flat pop, when we let her know the coke a was flat, she told us she knew, but they're not going to change the tank for the fizz. Rather than asking if we wanted something else she almost looked upset when we asked her for a different drink. She left before would could finish our order every single time. It was hard to flag her, and she didn't ask if our dinner was ok when it came. At the end of the meal, she didn't come when she saw our plates were sitting there and the cell phones were pulled out. She passed our table twice before asking to take away our empty plates. Our water wasn't refilled. This experience has made me want to learn to cook all of my own meals. Sadly, this was an extremely disappointing experience.

Our wedding reception went flawlessly. Cherie, the staff, decor, food and drinks were all amazing. They continually made sure we were happy, were content to accommodate any request we had and made the setup and pick up so easy. Great venue!

What a great space with a great brunch! I'd never been before, but I would go again. The mushroom Benedict was so tasty and the portions were huge! Would love to go back and try more brunch!Service was excellent as well. Parking can sometimes be challenging due to its location.

My friend and I went to 12welve on a Saturday evening and had an amazing experience! Our server Matt was super helpful and just overall awesome. It was our first time at this restaurant and he gave us the best food recommendations. We had the Korean cauliflower pakora which was absolutely delicious and full of flavour! The waygu burger was also a hit. Our absolute favourite was blueberry cheesecake for dessert! I can confidently say it was probably the best cheesecake I've had to date. Thank you Matt for making our first time experience here a memorable one, we will definitely be back!
