We enjoyed the beef rib pizza and a drink on the patio after a round of golf. A fitting end to a beautiful father/daughter day. Our waitress Debi was exceptional. We’ve been many times and will be back again. Never disappointed.

5/5 – Outstanding Experience! We had an excellent meal here – the food and service were both top-notch. We ordered the wood oven prosciutto pizza and the beet salad, and both were absolutely delicious. Our server, Tatiana, was great and made the experience even better. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back!

Hot Rocks is one of my favourite restaurants in the Durham Region and it has been for years now! I have never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious and the staff are very nice. This is my go-to place for any occassion!

We have lived in Durham for years and back in Whitby for the last 7. We’ve heard wonderful things about Hot Rocks and tonight we had the opportunity to partake. I can say without a doubt, we will be returning many more times. My wife is vegetarian and restaurants in general don’t have a great selection to fit her dietary needs. She had numerous selections. From time to time I will have a vegetarian dish so we can share. She had the eggplant ( over a bed of polenta ) and I had the wood fired Verde pizza. The flavours were incredible and the service cheerful. Drink and desert selection was well varied as well. If you are looking for a casual dining experience with better than casual choices. Try Hot Rocks.
Vegetarian options: They have 2 main options, pizza and handhelds ( that aren’t a veggie burger!)

Cate was a superb server she made our evening!!! Such personality and attentiveness. All the staff were wonderful but Cate is a stand out!!! The food was exceptional. Got, delicious, plentiful. Lamb Shank is a must try and for vegetarians the eggplant parmigian is fabulous. Crispy panko, gooey mozzarella, light passat tomato sauce. Scrumptious. I'd go here versus Bella Notte anytime. The service is fast superior and I'm a foodie!!

Cannot believe I haven't tried this until now. Great menu, great food, great service and reasonably priced. The whole family was raving about what they ordered. Portion sizes were large. Lamb shanks, beef tenderloin tips, mussels and burgers were all great.
