Food was good. Edamame could've been fresher and the ramen a little more spicy and hotter. The price could've been lower.
However, I was warned of all the above and hence the experience was as expected.

Weâve been here countless times and today, we could really tell the difference with everything. We suspect it may be under new ownership. We asked but they insisted it was not. If that is the case, the food is subpar.
We order chicken karaage, assorted tempura, shoyu ramen and black knight ramen. Greeted immediately upon entering, weâre seated immediately then a long intro about their tasting menu and how they came to introduce it - details which are not needed. Karaage was fried too long and greasy. Chicken dried out from being cooked too long, batter that was on it had a burnt taste and greasy. Also a piece of cartilage left on one of them that my 3 year old ended up crunching on. Tempura wasnât any better. Batter was thick and had an odd fishy odour to it. The sweet potato was sliced paper thin but the batter on it was thick and terribly greasy. Fried in oil that wasnât hot enough. True Japanese tempura is not thick or greasy like that.
More On the ramen. Charsiu wasnât tender, chewy and had an aroma of frost bite. Bamboo wasnât tender, just super chunky and chewy. Like other reviews, the egg was oddly cold. Noodles were undercooked. Now the broth. It wasnât the thick, creamy rich broth weâve always had. Milky, watery and just tasted like chicken bouillon powder. Filled with salt and msg - to the point that we only ate 20 min ago and weâre all dying of thirst.
Service wasnât bad but definitely overboard. We were interrupted a total of 13 times to ask how the food was and whether we were okay. Would have been nice to just be left to enjoy our meal and conversation. When we asked if ownership changed, the server stuttered then mumbled âitâs always been the same.â Asked us to give her specific feedback on a post it note- no thank you. One of the cooks came out to do the billing and asked again if food was okay, we replied and let her know itâs different from previous visits.
Atmosphere was meh. We sat near the front and every time the bathroom door opened and closed, you get waft of strong urine door. Terribly unappetizing and an indication it is not cleaned properly so just imagine the kitchen state. Th whole time we were there all we could hear was laughing and yelling in the kitchen. Unprofessional and also distracting. Tables had a stickiness to them and the cloth used to wipe them smelled of musty moldy damp cloth odor. My daughterâs bowl had some crusted on food from not being cleaned properly. And our water cups all had some stuck on food residue.
For $80 we will NOT be back and will also be letting our friends and family know.

Sou was my server. I came with my partner who is vegetarian and I noticed they had a vegetable broth option which caught my eye. She ordered the Vegetarian Ramen, it was her first time here and she loved it. I have been before and tried the red knight last time with pork broth and it was absolutely fantastic. This time I tried the Chashu Lovers ramen off the tasting menu and holy god above it was so tasty. The pork broth was good as it always is here but I ordered with mixed pork and had 3 healthy slices of Chashu pork and Another 3 slices of Belly Chashu. Felt like a really great value for how much pork was in the bowl. Noodles were very tender and felt like a good portion.

My girlfriend and I had the Black Knight and the Red Knight. The Broth didn't go well with the Ramen. It was very watery, it also lacked flavour. The golden egg weirdly had a cold yolk. The charchu was cooked well though.
Post having the ramen my girlfriend and I had an upset stomach for the entirety of the next day. I really don't know what was wrong with the Ramen.
Even the takeout containers surprisingly had a hole pierced into them, upon asking they said it was for the very hot broth to release it's steam... Should I just let it leak in my bag if it happens to topple?
Ippon Ramen wasn't our first choice since Kenzo Ramen was closed. Wouldn't recommend going here unless you're someone who enjoys stomach aches post their Ramen.

In short, it is just too expensive for very small portions and just average quality food.
The broth was good, the noodles just not what I think of when I get egg noodle, but the protein was abysmal. I had beef soup and I got maybe 3 pieces of the thin hot-pot beef rolls you can get at costco. Everyone knows how much this costs. Don't cheap out on the meat especially when its always an up charge.
We had a $100+ take out order for 3 people but there were no left overs because none of us were full. Will not be returning.

Food - Haven't come for a while, but can tell there is no care anymore. Soup broth was way overly salty. Not sure what was going on with the bamboo shoots..
Service - Unfortunately short staffed. Poor servers were apologizing so much.
Overpriced for what we got. Ramen was more like a $12-$13 and definitely not the $17-$18 they are charging.

Had a lovely meal at Ippon Ramen. The Red knight Ramen was cooked to perfection and certainly a comforting dish to warm the cockles of your heart. A special thanks to Riya who was so welcoming âșïž

We came for very quick meal , and we werenât disappointed. we had 2 different Ramen and the deep fried chicken. I really like the vegan options and the ability to build your own Ramen is great! The server had great memory! Well done đ§Ą

Never tasted a veggie ramen as bad as this one in my life. The soup base was so watery, no taste or flavor. So bland. The tempura portion was less. Super oily and not fully fried. All in all a bad experience and never coming again. I wonder how people gave high ratings. Better places out there.
