the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful! their are little candles in the middle of the tables which makes everything feel even more cozy and gives peaceful vibes!! we had an amazing time! All the staff are very friendly and welcoming as well:)

My wife and I went in for a nice afternoon meal, between lunch and dinner times. We had a reservation, which I highly recommend, as this is a very popular place. The wait staff was exceptional, very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. There were other tables seated, but the place was not full. Because we were between the meal times, there was a reduced staff. What was very nice was that we were spread out throughout the restaurant, so that each party was nicely distanced. We were recommended a braised beef dish that we both chose, and it was outstanding. The food quality and preparation were superb. I had a beer, my wife had a Spanish coffee, both very nice. We shared a creme brûlée dessert, which was delicious. The atmosphere was elegant but relaxed, quiet enough to talk, and table service was exceptional. What a great experience.

What a gem!!! We had the best time celebrating our daughter’s 30th birthday! Cocktails, food, service - all impeccable! My only regret is that it has taken me so long to come back! We will be regulars now for sure! We had duck, arctic char, seared tuna steak, burger and chicken sandwiches. The shareable dessert platter was the pièce de résistance. EVERYONE loved their food! Truly believe this is Durham’s finest!!! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Us girls wanted to get together for a night of conversation, fun and dinner and one of our friends suggested this place. None of us had been there before, but we looked at the menu and it looked like something we would enjoy, but boy were we surprised on how much we would enjoy it. First, let me start off with the atmosphere. It’s a quaint little place, very cozy and great for conversational dining experiences as we were able to hear each other perfect perfectly. The lighting was on point whether it’s a get together with friends or a romantic night out. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, she recommended some drinks along with her favourite appetizers and of course the entrées. She was an absolute delight to have as our server, very knowledgable and we had quite a few laughs with her. We ordered two mock tails, one cocktail and a pop, we also ordered three appetizers, one was the ricotta, one was the crabcakes and one was the pear bruschetta. All three had different textures and taste so definitely different items for different people‘s taste buds but I have to say the pear bruschetta is out of this world. We then ordered our entrées, which were the steak, and the gnocchi. The presentation of the dishes were a 10 out of 10 and the meals themselves were delicious To end our dinner we topped it off with some sticky toffee pudding which was amazing. The only thing that I am a little upset about is that I did not know about this restaurant sooner as I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a great place to eat.

My colleagues and I got together for an early holiday gathering and we had a wonderful evening. I had heard great reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming and Jackie our server was a sweetheart. The food was amazing and I loved the fact it was farm to table. Local supporting local is always a good thing. They even had a signature drink that part of the sales went to support a charity. Highly recommend and will most definitely return.
