We have been going to the Kyoto House since it opened at least 15 plus years. We have celebrated many anniversary dinners there. We love the staff, Queenie, May, Stone and Tam. They have always greeted us warmly and by name. If we come in they always ask about family members who are not there. I have six grand children and if I ask where do you want to go for dinner they always say the Kyoto house. Many friends of ours say it is the best Sushi restaurant bar none. Always great food. We have moved away from Durham region and live in Cobourg and still drive to Whitby for Sushi.

This is a great restaurant to go to. I never get enough of this place because having All You Can Eat lunch is a great price cannot beat. I have been there since 2004. This is also great for a Halloween, Christmas and New Years Eve dinner every year for me. Who could ask for anything more?

t was lunch time and we were driving around for a place to eat. All of a sudden, I saw a sushi restaurant with the sign 'All you can eat lunch $13.99'. That caught my attention, and we turned the car around to check it out. Turns out it was a great decision! Kyoto House is a cute mom and pop store. The 'all you can eat' prices are fair, and the dishes you can choose from are plenty. Not only do they have many different sushi rolls and hand rolls, but also mini dishes like chicken teriyaki, tempura, and ice cream! All this for $13.99 was an amazing deal. All the food we ordered was good, nothing outstanding but pretty yummy considering the price. We left very full and satisfied. If you're ever in the mood to try lots of different types of sushi, Kyoto House is the place to be.**this visit was before shelter in place**

Would not recommend this place. Their customer service was amazing, so I feel bad writing this. There’s sugar in the soy sauce, there’s sugar in the miso soup, there’s way too much rice in the rolls (see picture). Quite a shame really, the inside of the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing too.

This sushi all you can eat place is the worst of all. The whole restaurant smells like washroom. Their sushi has really bad fish smell. The rolls and sushi have so much rice it’s hard to fin fish in there. They make it thick with rice so you get full fast. Do not go. I went once and never went back again.
