Worst walk in McDonald's. They rely too much on the stupid self serve computer. Pregnant wife stood at cash and another woman behind her for 5 minutes and not even acknowledged or approached until I told her to use the machine. The woman behind did the same, and ended up back at cash waving a worker to help her because she was using a gift card. I also want to mention. Inside was not busy, we were the only ones waiting by the cash. I also counted how many workers were behind the counters. I counted about 10 employees and 1 person looked like a manager.
Fast food is not fast food at this location, unless you go through drive thru, and the customer service is garbage as a walk in customer.

Had no problems here . Enjoyed a good breakfast prepared quickly . Staff are wonderful here.Lots of indoor seating. Great coffee. Enjoy their free wi-fi. Busy drive thru.

The staff at the McDonald’s located at 1615 Dundas Street East in Whitby were very rude during the night shift on February 24, 2026. This is my second bad experience here.
I was picking up an Uber order through the drive-thru, but they told me to leave the drive-thru and wait in front of the window. That makes no sense for a drive-thru pickup. I have picked up orders all across Canada and have never experienced this anywhere else.

I am a delivery driver. This McDonald’s has indoor space, but they still force delivery drivers to wait outside. Today it is -25°C, and I am standing in extreme cold just to pick up an order. This is not humane or professional. Delivery drivers deserve basic respect and should be allowed to wait inside in a warm and safe area.

Today manger at this mcdonald treated me like a criminal. He was force me to show proof of purchase before providing my food. I order my food on the touch screen and the system did a print a receipt. He made me show my accouny history before preparing my order. This type of racist behaviour is not acceprable by a manager.

Ask for cheese on my Mac veggie and extra sauce they charged me for cheese but when I reached home found out that no cheese in the burgers. Very upsetting
This location is now the epicentre of a homeless crisis in Whitby. Within the last year, this location has been plagued by the homeless, no longer offering a family friendly experience, but instead providing a front row seat for frequent visits by thepolice, fire and ambulance. It might be time to hold decision makers in Durham Region accountable for destroying the integrity of this location.

Actually annoyed cause my order has gotten cancelled after waiting almost 20 minutes for nothing… mcdelivery sucks - as a mom with a 3 month old at home it’s hard to even get a meal in. Disappointing, now I have to wait 1-3 business DAYS for my money back so I can’t even order food elsewhere

This is a great location not far from the highway. I usually deliver Uber eats from here the other night I went in to pick up an order and was very disgusted to see up half naked man wearing a garbage bag sitting at the first table very dirty with all of his belongings around him Playing in his dirty hair at the table right inside the front door when I mentioned it to the employees they said, don’t worry they will clean up after him. I will never eat from this restaurant again. I don’t care if he has nothing to do with what’s being cooked in the kitchen, but to have him right at the front door as soon as you walk in between his aroma and appearance, it’s not the place. It’s a restaurant not a homeless shelter.

I had to wait over 10 minutes when they told me to park at spot one in drive though and I got 2 small things every time you go though drive through here they will make you park and wait no matter how small your order is
