At first arriving I was immediately taken back by the horrible way the female staff was treated their by male owner/management. I witnessed them belittled , yelled at and be made to feel they were worthless. I didnt finish and would never suggest it to anyone. Any father or husband with their daughter or wife working there should pay a visit and let them know how women should be treated because respect is not in the mindset. To the girls working there I apologize for supporting this place even for 5 mins. Your worth more and dont deserve this type of treatment!

Wow. I usually don’t leave reviews but someone needed to say something. Piper Arms is local to me and I visit them quite regularly. I was completely taken aback when during my last visit, the manager (I’m assuming) started verbally abusing our waitress. He was cursing and yelling at her, something I had never seen before, not only here, but at any other establishment. I am absolutely disgusted in his behaviour. Our waitress was nothing but polite and accommodating. Not sure I nor my family will be back again.

I was in the restaurant this week and witnessed one of the most terrible and shocking treatments of staff I’ve ever seen. A man with glasses who I assume to be a manager was yelling at one of the sweet staff in front of everyone in the restaurant. The management should truly be embarrassed having someone representing their company acting like that.

I cannot believe what myself and my family witnessed tonight. We came here for dinner this evening and witnessed from what I would assume is the manager, completely lose all control on his staff member. Screaming at her, swearing, heard the f word multiple times. I am absolutely disgusted by what I saw and we will never be back. If this is how they treat staff in public can only imagine what is done and said behind closed doors. To the girl who got verbally assaulted I hope she quits as I would never want my daughter to work here. As for the manager he is clearly too young, too emotionally reckless and absolutely not fit to be in that role.

We come here for the daily specials all the time. Usually on a Tuesday we get the half off apps, dollar wings, and $ 5 pints. Staff is friendly and the place is always clean. One of the few spots that has decent sized wings these days. Everywhere else it seems like the chicken wings have shrunk. Def worth it for a meals with friends or fam to watch the game or hang out after rec league.

Our first visit to this establishment, and I am sure it won't be our last. When travelling the Whitby portion of Highway 407, it is a very short distance north at the Highway 12 exit There were four in our party. Three of us had no complaints about our food, which was typical pub-grub. One person found the potatoes to be undercooked. They were the only one who had them, and in the spirit of full disclosure, we did not complain and offer the staff an opportunity to make amends. Everything else was enjoyable. Speaking of staff, our server, Olivia, confided at the end of our visit that she was only three shifts into her new job. She made the whole experience better. She has a lovely personality and makes guests feel welcomed and special. She will be a great asset to this establishment. We asked for the Blue Jay game on the large screens while we ate, and this was done without hesitation. Great customer service all around. I have no hesitation in recommending the Piper Arms, and Olivia in particular.

Amazing food and prices are great! I had the white wine mussels (they also have curry mussels). I also had the yorkshire pudding. It came with lots of roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. All ingredients were very fresh! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is relaxed with a high end, upper class feeling.
The food is really very good here! Was not as pricey as expected for the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

this restaurant is the worst place to ever exist. the managers treat their servers with so much disrespect. i witnessed the younger manager with glasses yell and curse at his employee and she walked away almost in tears. As a manager, you should know to talk about issues in private and not where the whole restaurant can hear. the managers must be extremely miserable with their life to treat other people this way. i left disgusted and i will never return to this establishment again.

If you are ever in the Brooklin area, you MUST stop by the Piper Arms Whitby. Their food is amazing. My husband and I were so impressed with the home style cooking (I mean even the tzatziki was truly authentic)… Everything was fresh, wonderful portions and the flavours were AMAZING!!! Our service was wonderful. Our server Julia D. was courteous and polite. She really made us comfortable to sit in the restaurant. at our table. Thank you Piper Arms Whitby for an outstanding meal. We will definitely come again. 100 x 👍🏼!!!
