We love PJ's! It's our regular weekend go-to after trying many other diners in the area. You can't go wrong with their food (their sausages are the best anywhere). The staff and owner are lovely. If you want the retro, hidden gem feel, this is the place! It's been around since the 50's, for good reason.

PJ's Restaurant in Whitby offers an outstanding breakfast experience with a cozy, traditional vibe that makes you feel right at home.

The veggie omelet was packed with fresh peppers and tomatoes, complemented beautifully by well-seasoned home fries that were crisp outside and tender inside. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy, light, and generously loaded with berries, making for a truly enjoyable treat.

The grilled cheese was perfectly toasted and buttery, a classic comfort done just right. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed morning meal. Every detail, from the classic tabletop to the friendly chatter, adds to the old-school diner charm.

Service by Randy was fantastic—prompt, cheerful, and attentive without being intrusive, which really enhanced the experience. If you're looking for a breakfast spot with delicious food, friendly service, and true local spirit, PJ's is a must-visit.

This local diner is a must try for breakfast or brunch. The food is fantastic, with generous portions for a great price. Staff is friendly and personable. We have had multiple instances where they have gone above and beyond to help us have a better dinning experience. If you’re looking for a rustic, friendly, small town spot this checks all the boxes. One thing to note, they only accept debit or cash, no credit.
We love the food and team at PJs, and will be back soon!

Service was terrific. Waitress was very friendly, and the breakfast came out hot and fast, and tasted excellent. I highly recommend P.J s for breakfast.

PJ’s is a must-visit, family-owned spot that’s been around since 1956. It has a classic, cozy ambiance and very friendly, proactive staff that make you feel right at home. I had the Lumberjack all-day breakfast, and it was delicious — kudos to the sausage, which was especially tasty! The food portions are generous, especially for the price — great value overall. The place isn’t very big, so you might have to wait a bit; our group of six waited about 10 minutes for a table on a Saturday around 11 a.m. One important note: they only accept debit or cash, so plan ahead. Definitely worth the visit!

Charming old school diner serving generous sized portions at very reasonable prices. We were served by Randy on our first time here, and brought our friends along the second time where we were helped by Sarah. It was busy when we went but both ladies were real quick and friendly in their service. Highly recommended!

All hype by the locals , took 20 minutes to take our order there was only 4 other tables. Kept ignoring and doing other things. The food took 25 more minutes to come out. When it arrived it was instant disappointment home fries were over seasoned to the point I spit them out into a napkin. Home fries were also undercooked still hard. Eggs were all snotty asked for over easy ,undercooked, eggs were cold , toast was cold. Portions are small. Didn’t even show us the bill before punching in the price. Over all will never go back. Save your money
