Since this place has opened; I've been a regular. The Supreme homemade burger and fresh cut fry poutine is definitely worth the try alone. 3 patties in this bad boy add bacon and cheese, you won't be disappointed, and the poutine...the cheese to gravy fry ratio is perfect.. Great food, good people. And it doesn't leave you feeling bloated or greasy. I highly recommend trying Sam's Grill in Whitby.....
Well, for the Whitby Location, that was my first review. It's currently under new management new staff. Gotta say tonight my wife got the fish and chips and as you see, over deepfried, thin paper like. It took a fork and knife to eat it. The tartar sauce was put inside with the food, so the plastic melted and warped, so what was square is now misshaped. The fries are dry like they've been under a heat lamp all day. There was no amount of ketchup, gravy or salt, and vinegar to make it taste how they should. It was a sheer disappointment. I don't even wanna get into my burger, I wish I took pictures, but hell, I'll explain the best I can. So I get the Supreme 3 patty add cheese and bacon and everything on it except onions. The burger pic that's on here is a before. Not now. Anyhow.. I get home, the wife choking down her meal. I start at mine. The burger patties somehow shrunk like 3 sizes like now I'd say sliders are bigger. The condiments were very minimal in amount. The pickles are cut differently. And taste different all together. BACON like for real. Who can screw up bacon. I get a square flat, very thin blanket like sheet of meat. Definitely NOT bacon. And that was also overcooked. From what it was to now, I hate to say we won't be back.

Son and I attended last week for a quick dinner. The chilli poutine was delicious (although I wish there was some indication on the menu that it was spicy hot). Thankfully, I ordered a super tasty chocolate shake to help cool down. Son enjoyed his burger and fries. Great service. See you again ... to try something new.

Pretty decent burger joint, I come here all the time. Smaller, McDonalds style burgers but better quality. Hungry? Grab 2 burgers, or get a burger and a poutine. I got the pulled pork poutine once and it was pretty good.
This is the first time that my husband and I went to Sam's Grill. We always want to try something new. We are glad we tried the Montreal smoked meat as well as the salt and pepper chicken wings with a side of honey garlic sauce. The food was served promptly. Daljeet at the counter and Harshdeep the food server showed excellent customer service. Will definitely go back here ❣️
Parking: Easy to park your car right across Sam's Grill 🙂
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance door is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair passing through trade to the counter and there's enough space to sit by the table when food is served.

Ordered from Sam's grilland I was blown away! The cheeseburger was delicious, and the poutine was a perfect combination of flavors. The cheese sticks were a great addition, too—crispy and cheesy! Everything looked so good that I forgot to take a picture. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving a satisfying meal!

Ordered 2 poutines and 2 onion rings for pickup, arrived home and found I was only given 1 onion ring.
Update to my review, I received a call from Management to follow up about my experience. I have to say the food, service and atmosphere were very good and I should have given a 5 star. I was just disappointed that I received only 1 onion ring. Management followed up with the store and found out that they had place the 2 small onion rings that I ordered into 1 large size box.

We got the classic poutine and hot and spicy poutine. The fries are good but the gravy was cold. The cheese curds were also really cold. The gravy was not seasoned as well as I was hoping it would be. The hot and spicy poutine had really large jalapeños that were a bit much. The green onions on it were delicious. It also had sour cream on it which I thought was an odd thing to put on poutine. It didn’t taste bad but just out of ordinary. I want to try the burger next time and see where it goes.
