Absolutely disgusting and overpriced, not to mention false advertising. This wintery and cold night had me craving some comfort food and I thought I'd give myself a break from cooking and order from this place. I regretted it the moment I took my first bite. The food was all tasteless, bland, and the bacon in the fried rice was hard, dry, and burnt. What I had a real issue with is how they advertised their sweet and sour wontons filled with meat. The wontons I got had no meat, it was literally dry, fried wonton wrappers. They lie and deceive customers, showing pictures of food items and giving false descriptions. They are charging a lot and not giving you what you ordered. If you deceive your customers, you will lose customers. Awful food and deceitful restaurant.

Amazing food, friendly customer service. I just moved to this area and tried this restaurant as it was walking distance from me and was in the same plaza as the laundry place I use. The food was delicious! Big portion and super fresh, the sweet and sour balls are awesome, plus their rice and noodles are so tasty, awesome sauce, great cook. Definitely recommend and will be back!!

I'm writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent order my family placed last night. The food quality was very poor, and the soda included with my meal was flat. We ended up throwing out a significant portion of the food as it was too hard to chew. We ended up still being hungry. Given this experience, we won't be ordering from you again.

For starters, it’s a takeout place so atmosphere is inconsequential. The service was good, the young man at the counter was pleasant. I was a little disappointed with the food….the vegetable fried rice was good, the egg role was delicious, everything was nice and hot. Unfortunately, the dish I was looking forward the most was the beef and broccoli. The broccoli was a little overcooked, which is reasonable when I came in close to closing time, but the beef was quite bad, pasty coloured and tasteless. I will try this place again, but earlier in the day. I did appreciate the fresh food.

I had Shanghai chow mein - the noodles were like overcooked spaghetti and the shrimp were skinny enough to make me wary of eating more than one. The pork was tasty though
I have been enjoying Silver Star since it reopened after being run into years ago. My god have things gone down hill bad . I ordered wonton soup last week it was water. No flavour none . Spring rolls have become smaller and smaller where as you can buy them at no frills and there’s 12 that are exactly these ones . But what really, really bothered me this time was the Cantonese chow main . I asked for no broccoli, no pork. So the chicken was flavourless full of peppers and bok chow and less noodles then the ones you buy at supermarkets for 99. Cents . So greatly disappointed. So yes I’m out . Which means so is everyone I told about it ! Local support I’m all in but not when you cheat us …

Hadn't had their food for many years because we had moved, when I found it on Uber eats I decided to order it even though we're a distance away. It arrived still hot, which was great. Upon starting to eat though it is definitely not as we remembered, it must have new owners or been handed down. Chicken balls very hard and crunchy, and everything is extremely greasy, including the rice, egg rolls, and chicken balls. Thanks for the memories silver star, but never again.
