The chicken tenders were a large portion and were actually chicken not pressed chicken The brussel sprouts and calamari we tasty but we found them overpriced for an appetizer

Service was disappointing, despite our server being friendly and apologetic. Our appetizer order was missed — we were told it had been “dropped on the floor” and had to be remade — and there were long gaps between visits to our table. This is the second time I've received a $10 coupon as an apology for poor service and food quality. State & Main used to be a reliable mid-priced restaurant, but it has really gone downhill. Please do better.

Ordered from Uber. I used to LOVE state and main but it really fell off. Especially for the price. I got the butter chicken bowl. Usually I grab it from WOKBOX but I thought I'd switch it up and do state and main since I've enjoyed the restaurant in the past. It was more expensive than WOKBOX and such a smaller portion. The flavor was bad it just tasted like a weird tomato vinagret mix, very thin. The nan was soggy. If you get heart burn it's extremely acidic. The chicken was TINY LITTLE PIECES of chicken almost like a portion for a small cat but halfed. Honestly not worth the money I'm extremely disappointed for the price point. They used to be comparable to baton rouge vibe but they are like a Kelsey's with batik rouge prices. We got a couple other things that were OKAY but again, the portion for the price, not worth it. Normally I don't like to complain but in this economy, with the price your paying to eat out, c'mon now you except it to be the quality it was before and portion.

We had a bit of an issue with my husband's steak but aside from it ,food and drinks are very delicious! Service can definitely use some improvement as we were left unattended for a very long time .If you get a chance to be taken care of by server Mickayla - you are in luck ! She is an absolute gem and ended up making our night .

I came here for lunch with a friend and ended up with severe food poisoning. I was extremely sick for an entire week. Thankfully, my doctor confirmed I didn’t need to be hospitalized, but it was a close call.
I reported the incident to the Durham Health Department. After their investigation, the restaurant was found to have **two health violations**. That says everything you need to know.
I also want to mention that our server, Kayla, was extremely dismissive and rude throughout the meal. She showed no interest in providing decent service and only became chatty and friendly when it came time to pay the bill and collect a tip.
I will never eat here again, and I’m warning everyone I know to stay far away. Your health is not worth the risk.

I found prices went up and quality of food went down. Their shrimp use to be large now it's a bunch of small. Their lettuce wraps were always great this time it was like slop I use to love this restaurant but will not be choosing it over other options. Not that I wouldn't go back but if it's like this again, I for sure won't

Our server was so pleasant, I wish I had gotten her name, she made our meal that much more enjoyable due to her personality.
