Stuttering John's Smokehouse

After raving about another similar BBQ spot, I was told that I had to try Stuttering John’s, so I did.

I walked in around 1:40pm and was greeted with nothing but attitude, seemed put out that I was there at such a late time. Terrible first impression.

I ordered a brisket sandwich and potato salad, the same thing I order from the other BBQ spot.

The sandwich was dry and plain, the potato salad was flavourless.

Stuttering John’s isn’t far from my work, but since they weren’t interested in my business and the food was disappointing. I’ll stick with the BBQ spot that are more than happy to serve me, with delicious food.

Was in the area and found this place on google. Had intentions of getting some brisket. Hey they have brisket burger, count me in! Talked to the lovely lady at the cash and told her I was starving. She told me to get the brisket Big Mac. I do what I’m told. Got 2 of the bad boys for me an the old lady. I literally inhaled it. Brisket was nice and tender and juicy and that beautiful smoke flavour. Dressed like a Big Mac. An upgrade I didn’t know I needed. This brisket Big Mac did not let me down. I’m a foodie, and am usually disappointed when I get hyped up for food.this was a blessing in disguise. A diamond in the rough. So glad we chose and got introduced to this place. Will be back a lot more to try each item on the menu. Good on ya stuttering johns! See y’all soon

Attended Stuttering John's Smokehouse for a brisket cooking class. 5 Stars for sure. John was a great instructor and simplified everything. We would definitely do another class. The food was fantastic and we look forward to going back for some sandwiches and definitely going to pre-order a full AAA brisket to try out what I learned on my smoker!

I’ve been to stuttering John’s multiple times sometimes for food and sides and other times just to gut stuff for my own bbq! John has been nothing but super helpful even when I ask for advice on how to cook something! He’s the best would recommend him to any of my friends

Absolutely delicious sandwiches!
My favourite is definitely the Smoked Chicken Club with no Tomato and Extra Bacon!
Solid portion of smoked chicken, thick cut smoked bacon, coleslaw and their super tasty Alabama White Sauce ?
Their other sandwiches are really good too and so are their sides!
They sell a bunch of their BBQ sauces, rubs and anything else you’d need for your own cooking at home.
Also very friendly staff and a convenient location just off the highway!
Just gotta make sure you’re there between 11-2pm and hope they have enough protein left! ??

I'm giving these ratings on the benefit of the doubt from what I've heard of this place. So, I've been meaning to come here for quite some time since this product came to my workplace at Halenda's, and my mother, and I arrived around 2:20ish to be told there is no hot food after 2pm. We drove about 45 minutes to get there due to poor phone directions, and some mild construction. I am disappointed because clearly it says "Dinner" and "Lunch" in the Google description, so why only until 2pm? Also, there's a "Dine-in" option, but there's no where to sit. Store is quite nice inside. Wish the lady wasn't so rude at the counter, and explained things better. I had to go find for myself that they have a foodtruck outside. Overall, their Google online description needs to be updated.

Ordered catering for a party yesterday (June 8th) and it was SO GOOD! We had the brisket, pulled pork, bbq chicken, sausage, Mac and cheese and beans. Everyone raved about how good it was! The ordering was easy and seamless. Food was ready at scheduled time. Could not be more pleased with everything! Thank you!

I was excited to try out the beef brisket sandwich but the meat was not warm. Maybe close to cold and my friend has the samething but he said the meat was kinda cold. Sandwich bun was also cold and it was alright. Maybe my expectation was pretty high considering the high google review but I am not sure if I want to come back for the beef brisket to be honest. It was ok overall.
