I’ve come here SO many times and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, great food and great atmosphere.

Surf has my favourite fish taco I’ve had to date. Their birria taco is also phenomenal. Don’t even get me started on the brussel sprouts with the jerk aioli.

Drinks are always a 10/10. Never had a margarita I didn’t like.

You can’t go wrong with anything here.

Enjoyed a fabulous night at Surf! Everything was incredible, the food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. Will certainly return. We had several cocktails and they were great- I can't remember the name of them. The guocomole was fresh and delicious. The street corn woudn't have been my first choice, but our server recommended it and it was amazing! A must try for everyone. The tacos were incredible- we had the Birria and the chicken Taco. Chicken was probably our favorite, but would definatley order both again. It gets busy in the restaurant, so I would recommend making reservations. We sat at the bar which was a lot of fun and we got to chat with other diners which is nice. Whitby is lucky to have a great restuarant like this!

We had a pretty underwhelming experience. The drink menu was lacking, and they surprisingly didn't have Caesars. Service was slow-paced, and our visit dragged on for almost 2 hours. But the biggest issue was the ear-shattering noise level – it was so loud from all the chatter that we could barely hear the music playing in the background. We had to practically yell at each other just to be heard, which made conversation really tough. On the plus side, the ambiance was nice, and the murals were really cool. However, the seating was a major letdown – the chairs were super uncomfortable and hard, leaving literal imprints on our butts. I ordered the olives, Brussels sprouts, and Birra tacos. The Brussels sprouts were the standout – perfectly charred and seasoned. However, the olives didn't live up to their 'habanero' description, and the tacos were overly greasy and chewy.

This restaurant is so quaint and beautifully decorated. I was impressed upon my entry to the establishment. It gives you the feel of being somewhere exotic.

The food and service was excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
Regarding the food, I started with a Blood Orange margarita which was good, but I couldn't taste much of the blood orange. Nonetheless, it was still a nice drink. My friends and I shared guacamole, street corn and chips which were amazing. Especially, the street corn! For my next meal, I had the birria tacos. They were very good. I would definitely come back here again, especially for the ambiance.

I should note, that I gave it an overall score of 4 because of the pricing. The prices are a bit steep for the amount of food you receive.

Overall a nice experience but drinks took forever. Took 15 minutes for us to be greeted and then another 10-15 for drinks to hit the table. Food was really delicious. Churros were over cooked but the sauce was tasty. Tacos were all really tasty as were the drinks.

What a ride! Had a great dinner out at Surf the other night! Back patio is cute AF. We ordered 2 drinks (cocktails and beer) each, plus a load of food to share. Everything is so delicious (that Pollo taco eh??) and fresh. Can't wait to drink margaritas on the sunny patio again! Yay! 😎

Stopped by on my way through Whitby for takeout and tried their caprese and jackfruit tacos. They were flavourful and worth the stop in! The pesto on the caprese was incredible! Will be back to try more.
