I am a staff of a business place in the same complex as your restaurant. ,A team of us who often purchase lunch, breakfast and even dinners to go on any given Fridays. We tried to get your deal 1/2 off wings on Jan,28, 2026 and was told we have to dine in in order to access the Wednesday deal , because its a business.
People dine in ,so the can purchase drinks and other items, is what the lady who answered the phone said. Now we are only on lunch break and trying to order ahead and as customers and fellow tenants it was appalling the customer service we received simply because we are not able to dine in.
No flexibility , your staff even indicated, that not even she gets a consideration. this was a simple ask, just ask us to purchase drinks if that is the issue ,as we certainly intended to.
I understand this is a business, but poorly operated where customers are concerned and treated with no consideration.
Please understand that I am quite aware you wont miss our measly support, but its worth mentioning for others to see who we spend with and their attitudes towards us.
Shame on Gryphon Pub Whitby !! I will never return to your restaurant, this was very eye opening and sad, I wasn't asking for a free meal just a consideration and we got a stern and unprofessional staff telling us why it cant be done and how its at a lost selling wings like this and a whole epistle.
There was no I'm so sorry, if i could I would, zero customer service just stern and rude and a rude tone.
investing in some customer service would greatly help your team who is greatly lacking. SHAME ONYOU GUYS!!.
