Wokin opened while we were living in Brooklin, gosh it's got to be 15 years ago ? Hasn't changed a bit. Good solid Asian fare hot and tasty. The inside looks today like it did when it opened. Felt like coming home
It’s hit or miss, but when these guys decide to cook up a delicious meal, they deliver. My only feedback is that they need more flavour in their rice. Maybe a little oyster sauce and sesame oil? It’s very bland tasting.General Tao chicken (although I think they recently changed the coating), Singapore noodles (needs a little more curry but the shrimp is always cooked to perfection) and mushroom egg foo young are the best around.
This food is awesome! Both the Shanghai and Udon noodles are high quality and not cheap imitations that I have found at most restaurants. I can tell the owners spare no expense to offer their customers meals that are both healthy and delicious. My favourite dishes are the Shanghai noodles with pork, the chicken balls, which are some of the best I have ever had, and the curry rolls which are super unique, definitely a must try. I'm pretty sure they are using Japanese style...
