One of the best place in Algonquin Park near east gate…. Must try local authentic.
Delicious food with gluten-free options (the bison burger was my favourite)! Down-to-earth atmosphere with local artwork and kind servers who offer genuine connection with every table!
I was there as a guest via AirBnB and I couldn't have made a better choice! You were deep enough in the park to be alone by yourself and also close to all major spots like the visitor center for example. They have a very good restaurant as well in which you can find high class Poutine and brownies - pictures attached. The host is very friendly and a passionate photographer! The best gift he could give me was a selfie at the end for my memories. If I have the chance to visit Algonquin Park again, this place will definitely my place to stay! Greetings from Germany
Had lunch here and ordered a cheese burger and a garden salad. Real beef patty was cooked perfectly with a good char taste. Salad was fresh. Even the lemonade was genuine. Waitress was great. So refreshing to see a restaurant get everything right. All around it was fantastic !
We were camping in the area and decided to travel through Algonquin P.P. on our way home. It was Friday October 3rd about 1 pm when we pulled in to The Mad Musher restaurant. All I wanted was a hot dog to go, which I specified to the waitress. She tried to seat us but I said I would like to take my hot dog outside and enjoy the weather, plus we had a long trip ahead of us. The waitress was nice enough although she said she would have to ask the cook if he would accomodate my order because hot dogs only come on the kids menu. Hmmm? She again tried to seat us to wait. We were never told if the cook agreed to make my hot dog. My complaint is we waited for 35 minutes for a hot dog!!! The place was about half-full, not busy by any standards. My wife asked twice about our order and was told it was coming up. My wife got up to leave when the order came to us. We asked for the bill immediately, and took our food to go. A hot dog shouldn't take over 30 minutes to prepare. We won't be stopping in at The Mad Musher again. The place across the street is clean, well lit and the service is great. We should have gone there.
Nice food nice person and possibility to buy local Algonquin tea and mapple sirup
We stopped here for a dinner since we were living at Camp Bongopix and received some incredible service from Christina.
The Mad Musher was cozy, had some comfy seating, some great burgers, and a great pumpkin butter tart! The home fries are a great side!
Overall, we didn't pay too much for quite a bit of food. I'd highly recommend eating here.
The food was so delicious and the staff were lovely. Thank you!!
We only ate at the restaurant, we were staying somewhere else. Went there for lunch. Food was good - I ordered BLT and hubby ordered roast beef panini. Good customer service from Sandy. Great outside view of the river even chanced upon what looks like a bridal pictorial. 😊
Family of 4 with 2 young kiddos. All I can say is what a disappointment, server rushed us for no reason. Didn’t have the 2 of the beer advertisers in cans, food was just awful on all accounts. I’m no too picky but for $21 for a burger and home fries they need to step it up and a $75 bill… Also, bathrooms had watered down soap, come on… you can do better
!!!😡

Honestly lots of bad reviews on here, but the food is decent. Poutine was good! And the home fries were great. The sandwich I had was also good 🤙
This place is decent. The burgers isn’t anything amazing. But I’ll admit it their fries is delicious.
Came here for a nice meal, but this was the sign. Everything else in town is closed and no clean water available in the motle we are staying at.
We were out for an adventure and came into Whitney looking for a bite to eat. The first place was a 20 minute wait and we asked if there was anywhere else they could recommend and no response. My husband looked up what was close and saw the Mad Musher opened at noon, so it was perfect timing
The place is a little dated but Sandy gave us the best seat in the house and amazing service. The view was incredible and the Bald Eagle added the final touch of amazement.
Food was incredible and I would rate it as a bistro quality with amazing flavour.
We will definitely be back ❤️
Get the bison burger! 🤤
