I’ve been to The Bread Bowl three times now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots. I’ve tried the Curry Chicken sandwich and the Cajun Chicken melt—both were absolutely delicious. The sourdough bread is toasted to perfection, and the Curry Chicken filling is generous, with pieces of apricot that add a lovely touch of sweetness. The Cajun Chicken melt is just as tasty, packed with flavor. Portions are very generous, so bring your appetite—I’ve always had leftovers, and they taste just as good the next day. Service is excellent, and while I chose to sit outside, the option to dine inside is available too. Highly recommend!

While staying at Sauble Falls Provincial Park, my husband and I drove to downtown Wiarton. What a lovely area! We decided to stop in at the Bread Bowl. We had the roast beef sandwich and the Cajun chicken sandwich. And OMG! Absolutely delicious 😋 The bread, meat, everything was so good. If we didn't live 3 hours away, we would be weekly patrons.
We appreciated the owners hospitality and conversation. We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a classic grilled cheese sandwich, with bacon, John and Loretta do it right! Their home made bread recipe takes things to the next level. I won’t give away their secret, you will have to ask John about his family recipe; which I will say is quite unique. Great service, impeccably clean dining area and bathroom, and a sandwich board challenge guaranteed to get you in the door. They’re relatively new; opened since March 2025. They sell loaves as well, but you need to be early to get one. Highly recommended if you’re passing through Wiarton!

I decided to try out this new cafe when I came into town to do laundry. I had the Cubano sandwich and dill pasta salad. The food was delicious, and I had a lovely chat with the owner who seemed really excited to be opening this new restaurant in Wiarton. I look forward to coming back here, and seeing how the menu expands in the future!

We had the tuna and the beef sandwich, both were amazing. The bread is the perfect sandwich bread, toasted to perfection. I also had a great ice chai latte.
Next time we are passing through we will definitely be stopping in again.

Tried the grilled cheese sandwich from Bread Bowl and it was absolutely delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted with beautiful grill marks and a buttery crunch, while the cheese inside was gooey and melted just right. Topped with a sprinkle of herbs, it added a nice touch of flavor. Simple, satisfying, and made with care highly recommend it if you're looking for comfort food done right!
