I met my family on the patio at Dockside Willie’s this afternoon, whom I hadn’t seen in 5 years. They had enjoyed a day on Flowerpot Island & had stopped for a lovely fish & chip dinner, the young lady that waited on them was grand. While sitting there enjoying the company, my sister in law’s lip was bleeding, she had dabbed it with her napkin & placed it under her leg to take to the garbage when leaving! Unbeknownst to her, the napkin had fallen under her chair. The male waiter walked by our table & said, pick that up, that’s disgusting! At first we didn’t know what he was talking about, then my sister in law, who is a retired nurse & a clean freak, realized what he was referring to! She was incredibly embarrassed & the incident put a damper on our gathering. This individual was beyond rude. I’d suggest the owner, unless he is the owner, have a little chat with said employee! It will be highly unlikely we will frequent Dockside Willie’s in the future!

Very friendly Soups great super food
Hard to find this place open, even when they're supposed to be according to their hours of operation. They have a tendency to close early if things are slow. Never did eat there because of this, and was told I didn't miss much.
Been a few times and food was good but the last three times we have tried to go they are closed. Just can’t depend on them being open so not sure I will try again.
A nice little outside patio spot to sit and enjoy the view of Bluewater Park and the waterfront in Wiarton. Inside is a bit of a dive, so we recommend being outside to enjoy beautiful weather. Service was friendly. The menu is pretty basic as far as options go (think burgers, wings, nachos, pickle spears), various beers, pop, etc. Nachos and wings were good - nachos were perfect size for 1 person, but a bit small portion wise if sharing with others; the chips weren't stale and toppings were fresh and good quantity - could use a bit more cheese overall. We ordered 2 mixed drinks - the disappointing part of our meal - the flavour of the Willie Hoo Hoo was great, just weak in alcoholic content and we do not recommend the Blue Lagoon - tasted like it was just grape Kool-aid. Otherwise, it was a decent place to refuel and relax.
Food was delicious, we had a clubhouse and cobb salad and both were fantastic. The service was great too, very fast and attentive. Our server was wonderful.
Love ,love love yummy onion Rings and beer by the water is all I need m hubs likes wings , nice patio. :)
Been going to Wiarton for 30 years. Absolute worst service i ever had. Nice young girl cleared table for us upon arrival on patio. All people on patio had or were already eating. Waitress totally ignored us for 15 minutes, didnt even come to table after making eye contact. We left and wont be back, should be 0 stars.
Our server was good, we both ordered fish and chips, it always a little disappointing when you don’t get fresh cuts fries. The restaurant needed a good clean and fly control measures.

Wife and I stopped in for early afternoon lunch, only a few patrons, so lots of sitting areas, waitress was pleasant, food came out quick, but small portions and very boring, menu is brutal for choices, I understand Covid hit everyone hard, but sheesh, let’s revamp, great water view, but just ho hum for food, but hey you decide, cheers
What an incredibly disappointing experience. I typically review places that are exceptionally outstanding or incredibly terrible. Dockside Willies falls into the incredibly terrible side. Food was so so, although the chicken breast in the chicken Brady sandwich was so tiny and the mushroom caps were blah. But what really stood out was the complete lack of customer service and care.
Takeout on a cool rainy weekday aft .. . 2 types of wings my teen boys ordered . They said they were delish ! The fries were soggy from sitting , but that wasn’t a big deal . My potato soup was very thick & tasty My Cobb salad was huge! Loaded with meat and bacon, fresh veggies . Yummy dressing . I was impressed . Their homemade garlic dill dip (or dressing ) was super tasty too . The lady that took our order, was polite and efficient… which is rare lately. She put condiments in our order without me even having to ask , and got the order correct (also rare) Will return each year on our annual vacay .
My partner was really looking forward to trying the wings. We don't get up to Wiarton often in the warmer months due to the traffic (we live 45 min away). They were typical store-bought wings, oven baked, and smothered in sauce. No crispiness. I don't know what other reviewers had, or what other wings they've tried, but we were hugely disappointed. The onion rings were thin and mostly batter (again, typical frozen things). I loved the smoked duck club.
Just had the chicken wings and Ceasar salad and it was awesome! Perfect crisp and juicy wings and great salad Staff was amazing. Thank you very much for a great dinner
