The bowl was very delicious and nutritious. My friend got the mushroom burger and she loved it too. I wanna come back to this restaurant every time I'm on the peninsula. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-19
Such an amazing place! The food is DELICIOUS! I don’t often write reviews but I had to for this one. The food is not greasy, salty or heavily sweet! Loved it!!!
Said it was a 30 minute wait with 2 full tables open and clean ready for customers. Ok
Excellent atmosphere, service and food is so delicious. Reasonably priced also!
We ordered on our way to Tobermory and it was 100% worth it. The burgers were divine and so flavourful. The fries were perfectly crispy and it was an awesome experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a healthy and delicious place.
Way too expensive and gross hard cheap shoestring fries . Restaurant had one other table of two come in after my table of two, took 20 mins to get two fish chip orders ( you get 1 piece of fish and inedible shoestring frozen fries) The owner didn't care both of our plates still contained 3/4 of the fries and did even ask if there was an issue. When I said something about the inedible fries she just put debit machine down on table and walked away. I paid the bill for both of us and left ,47.00 for basically two pieces of fish and inedible hard fries total. It use to be good food years ago when different owners had it. Don't waste your time or money here. Dockside Willie's or the Frosty freeze better investment.
The inside of this place is soooo nice! The food was great, I got the veggie sandwich and the veggie mayo was so delicious, the bread was also toasted so good. All the flavors were great!!!! My sibling got the quinoa burger (I think that's what it is called) and that was also amazing!
Great find in Wiarton on our way to Tobermory. Like it so much, stopped on the way back again. Fresh and beautifully plated Friendly service
Vegan falafel bowl was incredible! Genuinely some of the tastiest and least dry falafels I've ever had, and the micro greens, roasted chickpeas, and charred brussel sprouts really rounded it off. Server was very friendly and enthusiastic.
Excellent physical and mental fuel for a rest day lunch when thru-hiking the Bruce Trail.
We had a fantastic meal at the green door back in September. I had an avocado sandwich special at the time with a side soup, my only comment was too much pepper in the dish but it tasted delicious. My partner had the reuben and he said it was one of the best reubens he’s ever had! The service was incredible!

Hard to believe this actually happened. I walked out and left because of what they did. The worst was them asking/pressuring us to eat something we specifically asked not to have……….
Saturday night reservation for 5 to celebrate 84 year old birthday. They had round tables pushed together right near the door with the pos system so close that the server had to tightly squeeze in behind our people to use it during the time there. The round tables together was a bad idea. The senior at our table was seated in the wedge area where the two tables touched - in the gap in an awkward spot.
We ordered two steaks rare with no pepper on them. They brought them to our table and said they accidentally made them with pepper on them and could we please try scraping the pepper off and trying the steak. If we didn’t like it we could get them to cook another one. The one person did try scraping and it was still bad and the rare requested was medium. I didn’t try it. I felt pressured to accept it in front of friends and customers in a busy place. I said no thanks. One lady there asked if I’d like a salad while I waited for my friends to eat their meals (as compensation when I just cancelled and didn’t reorder). I apologized to my friends and left them and my wife there.
The rest had fish and chips. Two whitefish and one haddock. The pieces were thin and rated at 6-7/10 by them. The one thing everyone disliked was the fries. In other pics they look hand cut. Ours were not. They were awful and basically fast food fries. All in our party said they were cheap low quality. The menu has a very limited selection on its single page format.

I had fish and chips and chose the whitefish over haddock OMG this was so good and fresh. Crisp on the outside right to the last bite, the coleslaw was fresh and crunchy with a tangy dressing the tartar sauce was obviously homemade, nice and lemony. The coffee was delicious, I drink mine black so could appreciate how special it was. Service was friendly and attentive, an all around wonderful part to our outing from Owen Sound on a sunny crisp day. Thank YOU.
Parking: Street parking was packed so used a municipal lot. It was a nice day so walking a few minutes wasn't a problem. Had it been pouring or snowing we may not have dined here which would have been a real shame.
