Was recently at GL Heritage with FRATE street food truck. When we got there they were just firing up the food truck and we're informed they would be coming around to get orders we sat out side, and our plan was to order a snack and food for our 5 year old. We went inside to inquire what the hold up was and the entire inside had food (mind you we'd been there nearly an hour at this point and no one was inside). we were told again they were coming outside shortly to take our orders. We waited another 30 min and still nothing. We finished our drink and left with no good or being served after inquiring twice in the 1.5 hours we were there! we do not recommend this food truck.

This is located on one of my favourite patios in the city! Nestled into the lot at Pressure Drop, this shipping container restaurant is serving up some petty fun dishes that change fairly regularly.You order at the window and the owners give you a buzzer, so when your order is ready, you just head up to grab it. You can sit at any of the picnic tables under the cool string lights and grab a cold drink from Pressure Drop to wash your food down with.They have one of the most unique canned beer/cider selections in the city and they also offer some cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks I really enjoy.This patio is such a vibe and having fun food selections to pair with my drinks makes it even better!Some of my favourite dishes are the Brussels sprouts and the halloumi burger.

My girlfriend and I were here this past Friday at it was fantastic. The coconut shrimp were crispy and flavorful. I had the Aloha Burger and fries. It was amazing. We'll definitely be back time and again as the menu changes.

Heard about Frate for a month or two and just got down there tonight. Brand new menu. I had the cali mari and Frate fries. Amazing flavours on these items and the Frate fries were a suped up fry supreme ?! Tried some of the brussel sprouts too as a shareable and they were some of the best sprouts I’ve ever had, the honey and balsamic flavours knock it out of the park. Also the beer selection at pressure drop is huge. We decided on some 5$ red stripes which are well worth it.

Went here for the first time with family for lunch , I must say the owners were pleasant and the vibe was awesome , but the food is very expensive for what you get, it was all served on small saucers, I had the cod sandwich which was cold , the fries are frozen McCain fries , fresh cut is the way to go in my opinion , portions were small. Don’t recommend for a family if 4 + it will run you close to $100 bucks . I would expect these prices somewhere where they pay a high lease, hydro etc.
Absolutely unreal flavours. Frate knocks each menu item out of the park. Even their simple chicken sandwich was layered with flavours I've never had combined at a restaurant before. The calamari and honey garlic cauliflower bites were FANTASTIC! Don't sleep on this one.
Vegetarian options: Limited menu, but the menu has vegetarian options. The bar also has popcorn and plantain chips.

Nice apple pie. I never had this delicious pie before.You can taste the apple and syrup, and it is not too sweet and great harmony. Fluffy and gorgeous.
