Claims to be an “authentic” fish and chips shop. It’s not authentic, the chips are too small, they don’t serve ribs or battered sausages and they serve foods that are literally incompatible with British culture. I am from England, trust me when I tell you this, there’s nothing authentic about this fish and chips shop, it’s a disastrous fake, a failed clone, an affront to everything British.

What a joke. 176 dollers for a family halibut dinner delivered. Pathetic tiny portions for fish and a little basket of fries.
Back when they first opened this meal was much larger with portion size and even came with drinks. Now they jack up the price and give you small portions with fishy tasting halibut. I will never be ordering from here again. At 176 bucks this what I got is a joke.

FRYDAYS never disappoints and the luncheon specials are a great deal. The halibut is always so flaky with a light crispy batter. Coleslaw is delicious. Very clean restaurant with friendly, efficient staff. We have visited FRYDAYS many times and always leave commenting how excellent it is.

I didn’t know Fridays has been open for 4 years altogether, 2 years of which the Manning and Tecumseh Rd E. , has been serving their food.
I loved the minimal ambience. The place was quite clean. Checked out the bathroom it was very clean and comforting. The prep area I could not believe how clean it was! The cooking area is visible to patrons and I definitely liked the stainless steel and glass cooking area. It was unbelievably clean! The glass separating the dining area from the cooking area was remarkably free from grease. I wish I can keep my windows as clean! I am going to tell my friends. Oh, and you can believe this, I will be back!

Alright I am going to start this off very simply. I am British, I have lived in Britain my whole life and have had true authentic fish and chips a few times a month. This is not an authentic fish and chips shop. Despite the name, fish and chip shops tend to also sell battered sausages, fried chicken, juicy pork ribs and a whole other assortment of fantastic food. Moreover, the chips here were not accurate to the real ones back home, dry, too skinny, too overcooked, it is genuinely unacceptable to call this authentic, especially considering the individuals behind the counter having no true knowledge or respect for what they are making. Cultural appropriation at its finest but you lot not ready for that.

TL:DR I’m British, this is wrong.
